Try getting a router that has one in/4 out between modem n voip. Your voip unit should have an RJ45 connector to connect to router, not your computer. The USB connector might be to connect the voip to a different type of router, and will not be used. The 2 phone connectors are for two different phone lines that your voip provider can provide you with.
I am afraid that there are incompatibilities between speedstream 6520 and Voip service. I will need to look at this a little bit further but I think the only workaround is a firmware update. (modified version of the original)
the line coming in from your old provider of phone is causing your problem, I am a phone tech for cable company and I find this all the time . your old phone provider if still hooked uo is push a small amount of voltage onto your in house wireing even though it does not have dial tone. just unhook your test port on the old interface and this should fix your problem .dsl filters will also cause a prblem , make sure all filters are removed.
The ISP service TADAUST is offering this particular plan for broadband.
256 / 64 kbps
The reason that I am telling you this is because the download speed required forvoip service is at least 512/512 kbps (estimate an average 300/300 kbps (30kilobytes/per second) to make it work from your end to the other and backwards) If the speed is not enough the line will suffer cuts and breakouts.
Therefore even if we set this system up it may be too slow to be able to have any functionality for telephony service.
Can you please verify with me that this is the plan you own?
Many regards EngineerGR
