I have dropped calls and no reception. My Moto Q keeps saying it is roaming but I am not in a roaming and I used to get reception with my old motoroal razor in the same places. I rarely ever had dropped calls before. My service provider is US Cellular

Hello Stryker. I will try to help. But the solution often depends on your cellular provider. There are certains codes that cell providers use to allow you to update your phone with any new cell tower information.

Can you please tell me your provider's name?

I assume this problem was resolved. If not, please contact me and I will walk you through the solution. It always helps to know the provider name. Most cell phones are only as good as the towers they connect to. If your phone is not connecting to the local towers correctly you need to contact your service company for a tower update code.
Please let me know if I can help further.

TV getting no signal, it is on channel 3.

Base on model number: make sure none of the inputs work---will narrow things a bit.

This model should have two resets(not the one on front of set) , a soft and a hard---the soft is done with the original remote:

Set turned on: Menu, 1,2,3 and enter.

I HAVE A PHILIPS 50' plazma and the screen keeps freezing, flickering as it has some kind of interference but we have had an areial engineer to check the signal strengh and said its excellent.what else can...

If it is digital TV, change antenna(UHFonly), and change position of the antenna to get less inteference of digital signal. Signal strength is the TV station carrier frequency, does not help digital video signal integrity. Often if you change channels will reset the digital signal cache and get better pictures.

00 Pontiac Grand Am GT may need transmission service...

Pretty likely the unit has internal sealing problems. Make sure the fluid is full (if no dipstick, you have a sight plug on the housing near the right axle on housing that needs to be opened and filling is done by putting fluid into the top fill plug 'till it begins to run form plug hole)
If full, have a shop check it out...seals should not be replaced by themselves, job requires a "soft parts" overhaul.

I have recently started to notice a misfire or a feeling of retarded ignition intermittantly. Also at the same time the petrol guage has stopped working and shows one bar less than a full tank and I can't...

for the misfire check your plugs as they could be on their way out and check the leads for any signs of wear as they could be arcing out on the motor somewhere. the fuel gauge may need to be reset. whether this is done on a full tank and disconnecting the battery for a while im not to sure but it sounds like the logical sorta thing.

boot_c_03.08.00r_mpap Paul Sager from FixYa has posted a solution for this problem previousley (as below). I have tried the Motorola and Verizon sites (tried the store as well) and the software is not available to flash the phone. Do you know of a site that would still have it available? Or can this question be sent to Paul to further comment on it? All I want to do is recover the phone numbers, notes and calandar from the phone via Activesync or Windows. Paul Sager 2335 Solutions July 14, 2010 I can help you with your Motorola Moto Q. What has happened is that the firmware of your phone has become corrupted. When this happens your phone will no longer finish its boot sequence. This is a very common situation with many phones: in fact, much of what I do here at Fixya is explain how people can fix their MP3 players, GPS and phones by reflashing the firmware. The good news is that if you take your phone into your carrier's store, they can reflash it for you right there (if they have a competent tech handy.) If you are comfortable with computers etc, you can also do it yourself. Your computer will communicate with and fix your phone, even though it doesn't seem to recognize it right now - I've seen this many many times. My only warning for you is that if you are going to flash your phone yourself, you need to get the correct firmware from motorola's site for your carrier. I just downloaded the Verizon firmware as an example - Motorola's website has about ten different carrier firmwares for their MotoQ phone. I hope that helps.
