Just did this on mine. Remove the battery cover and battery. With a small flathead screw driver pry the left and right side of the battery tray away from the wall. then pry up the bottom of the tray, flip it up and remove it. this will expose two black plastic tabs near the top of the battery compartment, one on each side, pry them gently away from the wall to release the catches and then insert a screwdriver between the circuit board and the bottom of the case, this will push the whole assembly out the top of the radio as one piece. Be careful you are bending alot of fragile plastic.

Car radio code for ford ka

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Ford service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

I have a motorola mv11c and it works fine and I just purchased a pair of motorola mv21cv. They must be on a different frequency my question is how do I change the frequence on my mv21cv radios to be...

Hold in the PTT button while you turn on the radio. It will announce the frequency number. You can use the PTT button to change the number. Then press the Monitor (small possibly red) button to lock in your setting. The next number your radio announces will be the Code. Use the same method to change the code if needed. Then press the Monitor button to lock in your setting. Once you have set both your freq and code you can turn the radio off, then turn back on normally and use the radios.

Best regards.

Intermittent no transmit not all the the time hw do fix ?

It sounds like you have a cold solder Joint on the Board of your radio. You will need a power supply, a watt meter, dummy load and a 30 to 40 watt soldering gun, solder and solder wick. Chem wick makes the best solder wick. DON'T buy the solder wick from Radio Shack.

Take a non Metalic item lke the handle of a screwdriver and tap around on the bottom side of the PC board litely untill you find the general area that is causing the problem. Start solder different points on the board until you find the joint that is causing the problem. If you accedentally put too much solder use the solder wick to remove the extra solder. This is time consumming and you must be careful as too not short out the radio. Also the solder gun must be isolated from ground.

This is not a job to be taken litely. I would reccommend taking the radio to an experianced Radio Technician unless you feel that you can handle the job.

How do you take the radio out?

Ford used a specific meathod for factory radio removal but I can't be positive they used it in 93. There should be four holes in the radio, 2 on each side about an inch vertically apart. If that is what you have you need to buy Ford OEM radio removal tools. I saw them at Pepboys a while ago and recently at Best Buy. They are about $10. You put these tools in the radio and gently press outwards and the radio should come out.
