Re: sim card is locked
You will need to contact your service provider for the code. They will ask you for your imei number inside your phone, (normally under the battery or just to the side of it). Explain to them that your sim is locked and they will give you a code, and explain to you what to do. Just contact them which, ever band you are on and they will talk you through it, it is a common problem and something that they deal with free of charge everyday.

Go to Settings, then to Phone settings, then to Security settings (might be under Phone management on some phones), then to Phone and Sim card and their change the value of Lock if SIM card changed value to from YES to NO, if asked for lock code try 12345 or 00000.
Hi the PUK code is the security code for the sim card and not any code to do with the phone, all you need to do to get the PUK code is call your service provider. your service provider wont charge for giving you the code as the code belongs to you, all you need to tell them is your phone number or if you dont know that then the number printed on the sim card, they will then provide you with the 10digit PUK code for free over the phone. this will then allow you to access the sim card.
The only place you can get the PUK code from is your service provider as their is no where else that keeps these codes, if you still have the card the sim card was attatched to then it will be written on their but if you no longer have this then the only way your going to get the code is by calling your service provider, they wont charge you for this as the code belongs to you,
you do have another option open to you though, if you dont need that sim card then you can go out and get another sim card and when you get given a new sim card you will get given the unique PUK code it will be written on the card the sim card is attatched to.
let me know if you need further assistance ok.
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks..
the pack that your sim card came in, go through it and there should be atleats 3 different codes not necessarily together but one of them is your puk code so you would need to phone your sim card company and tell them the problem and tell them the code.
These are different types of codes. SIM pin code: This is a pin code that locks the sim card until you enter the correct code. This protects your account, even if your sim is put into another handset. Phone Security Code: This locks the handset, as opposed to the sim card. Some phones will accept incoming calls with this lock enabled, but many require the code to be entered even to answer a call. You can also set some handsets to only accept a "new" sim if the phone security code is entered.
Which is the one that you want?
Not enough memory means your phone is too full of data IE. Pics, Themes, Contacts, Applications, Games etc...
The phone needs a certain amount of memory to function.
SIM cards can only be unblocked by the Service Provider (cingular, t-mobile, etc). They have a specific code based on the SIM card number.
If you have entered the incorrect code more that 5 times, you will invariably incapacitate the SIM card.
Contact your providers support department, or go to the store and they should be able to take care of it for you.
Best of Luck.
