About my sterio kenwood,if i on my sterio is protect.only i saw in monitor is protect

If your set is displaying the "Protect" display on the display, it means that your player has a serious issue or failure. It is possible that your output has failed and you will have to take the set out and disconnect the output stage. The main feed voltage to the output IC must be disconnected and the set powered on again. You must attempt to do this only if familiar or else take helpt and identify with this advice. Once the IC has been identifed replace after you find if any speakers also have shorted. replace and test. If your output seems fine , a possible short on the drive board of the cd or the cd processor stage can also be deffective. Hope you get this right, Helpful? Good day

My cd player refuses to eject the cd that is in.

If anyone knows how to fix this without taking it apart, I'd sure like to know!

Sometime something mechanical hangs up and once you take off the cover, careful examination and the gentle nudge or two can reveal it. Once the trapped CD is removed, the player works ok.

Other times it is a symptom of a more serious mechanical or electrical failure necessitating expert repairs.

Good luck!

Tail and dashboard fuse keeps blowning

unhook black wire from harness and the ground from pioneer unit install the ground wire from pioneer unit to frame of car (you may need extra wire to do this) make sure the black wire from pioneer unit is bolted to frame of car not to the harness black wire........fuses will no longer blow and you will have your lights.
hope this helped

This is a pretty tough problem to give any answer with complete certainty.

I work at an authorized kenwood service center and it is rare that I see one with this particular problem. I fix about 5 to 10 kenwoods every week.

Since it does not recognise the cd player at all, it could be the one of the supply voltages that feed the cd deck.

It has 3 different supplies for the cd player.

On pin 2 of the connector is the first one I would suspect, it is around 8 volts. If that is missing there are 3 components I would look at. The first one is D5. It is a 8.2 volt zener diode. This is one that could be shorted and if it is the cd deck may not be recognized.

The next 2 components I would check would be Q9 and Q10.
If one of those are open or shorted you will get the same problem. Q9 is a 2SB1443 and Q10 is 2SC4081

if you plan on troubleshootng it yourself, I will post the other data for the other 2 supplies after you reply back.

In any case, I don't think that this is a problem that anybody can fix without some serious electronic troubleshooting.
sorry to say, there is no easy fix on this one.

Hope this was some help

My 6 disk CD player is in the eject mode(front open no disk in 1 slot but won't load)

Get a boyfriend - they know how to fix this stuff. Especially an Hispanic. It may be that there is a disk already in it. If not, the motor on the CD player is bust or the laster is trashed. Either way, it needs repair if there is someting stuck in it. Cellphones with MP3 and in ear headphones have good sound to get you thru work traffic and home again

Kdc-x879 won't recognize cd feature

I am sorry to tell you this, but there is no easy fix after pressing the reset button. The unit is not even recognizing the cd player, so it could be one of many different problems, all of them being electronic and inside the unit.

It could be a voltage regulator that supplies the cd deck, it has 3 of them. It could be the ribbon cable that connects the cd deck to the main board, but that is more unlikely. It could even be the microprocessor.
There is just no way to be certain without putting it on a test bench and troubleshooting it with the schematic in front of you.

If you have some electronic troubleshooting skills, I can email the schematic to you. I have it in PDF format and you can check it out as long as you have a power supply, multimeter and knowledge of electronics.

Otherwise, you will need to take it in to an authorized Kenwood repair center.

I hope you found this helpful, but you do have a serious problem with the unit.

I have been repairing these type of radios since they started making them a couple of years ago and this problem has had several different fixes for this same symptom and it has never been an easy fix.

let me know if you need more help

Volume, Display and FM stations missing?

This could be a bad ground on the radio, or you have serious circuit problems. if a fuse blew, the radio would not work at all. Check the installation first, replace the radio seconds. Good Luck
