Cant' get wireless printer to recognize Apple IMAC

I bought a new computer and hooked all the wires correctly. Yhe printer is suppose to recognize the wireless printer. I think my problem is that I don't remember the correct password for the Linksys adapter. How do I get around that?

To clarify, your iMac is not recognizing your printer (which is connected to your linksys router wirelessly)?

If your problem is the password, that does not concern the Linksys adapter. Try this http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com

This is the correct way to connect your computer to the Internet WIRED (you are using an Ethernet cable/wire, aren't you ?), not WIRELESS.

Can't print from HP 2540 aio to my Imac PowerPc G5 OS X 10.5.8 The Imac keeps telling that the printer is offline.

A quick look at the HP web site for this printer shows that it only supports Max OS X 10.6 and later. These versions only support the intel processor based macs. Your PowerPC mac is, unfortunately, obsolete as far as Apple and the peripheral manufacturers are concerned and is not supported.

Cant print using Dell A920 printer on my imac. printer set up shows driver is correct I think and the printer name is correct.

So clearly the Macintosh sees and recognizes the printer. WIll it let you queue a document to the printer? After you do, you will see an extra icon on the Dock that represents the printer queue. Open it up and see what is happening to the printer job. If it disappears, it was sent to the printer and the Mac thinks it was printer successfully; if it isn't printed then you have either a bad printer or a bad printer driver. If it stays in the queue and goes to "hold" state, look in the log to see what the error was -- the Mac is unable to negotiate with the printer to get your file printed.

I hook up my harddrive and printer though Apple Time Capsule and my IMac it wirelessly connect with Time Capsule. Sometime I can't locate files from my harddrive. Please help

If you have the hard drive and printer connected simultaneously through a USB hub, it MUST be a powered USB hub (i.e., one with an AC adapter). Could this be your problem?

Connect pc printer to imac

hi,

You can install it with following specification

1) Install the diver for the printer on each device. I actually had to carry the printer into another room and hook it directly to the PeeCee to get the driver to install on it. I also noticed that it was better to download the driver than use the disk. Software online was newer than the disk, even though I just purchased the printer.
2) Plug the printer into the router and power cycle the router.
3) Download the Apple software "Bonjour" from the Apple website. Run it from the computer you want to hook to the printer.

Remember to make SURE the driver for your printer is installed ON the computer you want to print from or it won't work. As I found out you may actually have to carry the printer around to each computer to get the driver to install correctly.

Hope this helps! BTW the Mac software with my HP7580 is AWESOME!

The only way to replace the network card is to replace the logic board in this unit, however if you are running 10.5, you can purchase an external USB to ethernet adapter at a local Apple retailer and you can hook the computer to the network through that adapter

How to connect to dsl

You need to install either an "airport card" in your system or if you already have one in your computer, you need to download "airport" from the apple website. This is the only way MAC's can receive wireless signal.

Apple keyboard

After looking over the Apple knowledge base...http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106559

and

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25333

It appears to be recognized as a universal key. If you need to use it and have not found a way around it, I would copy if from an email, paste it onto a stickie and paste it when needed.

Not a true solution, but for now it should work,

Hope this helps.
