Question about Fuji FinePix 2650 Digital Camera

Can FinePix 2650 drive 1GB memory card?

Hi, we have a FinePix 2650 that we bought eons ago. We are thinking about buying a 1GB xD card for a longer trip but a friend old us that 2650 is too old and that the highest it'll drive is the 128MB. Is that true? Thanks in advance for your input! Jennifer

Zoom digital camera z650

A Fuji Finepix 2650 camera can't hold SD cards. It is made for xD picture cards only. I know there are adapters for xD camera's where you can put in a CD micro chip, but still Fuji won't give any guaranty this will work. And knowing the age go your camera, in such a adapter only SD micro cards would work and not the SDHC or SDXC micro cards.
If you do have a Kodak Z650 camera, your camera only can handle MMC and SD cards. If you bought a SDHC or a SDXC card it won't work. When there cards came out, some camera's could be upgraded with a new firmware, so they could handle the SDHC cards, but I can't find any firmware update for your camera.
There are some SD cards that go as high as 4 Gbyte, but most cards you now can buy from 2 Gbyte and up are SDHC.
Physical the cards look the same, but the addressing is different.

What kind of memory card

The 2650 uses xD Picture Cards. They're getting a little harder to find, but a well-stocked electronics or office-supply store should have them.

I was recently given the FinePix E550 by someone who had purchased a newer camera. I do not have the usb cord to download pix and my Dell 942 All-in-One will not recognize the camera card. What do I need...

Hi

The problem you are experiencing with your Fuji FinePix E550 could be down to a number of reasons.

You do not say the memory card size you are using but the Dell 942 will probably only read cards xD-Picture Cards 1Gb or lower.

It maybe a better idea to remove the xD card from the camera and use a USB card reader to take the images off the card. Alternatively you could buy a replacement USB cable

Hope the suggestions help.

From where I can buy memory card for finepix E510 camera

The Fuji Finepix E510 takes a memory card type called "xD Picture Card". You can buy it most retail stores, but you'll save a lot of money buying online.

The Upgrade Place has low prices and a Camer Memory Finder Tool. See the capacities available and click to buy xD Picture Cards at discount prices here: FujiFilm FinePix E510 Memory Cards

Memory card

Fuji uses 16MB xD card with the camera, which won't hold too many 4 Megapixel photos at the highest quality setting. So you should plan on buying a larger card right away. xD cards are currently available as large as 1GB, and I think 128MB is a good starter size for most people. Be warned that xD cards tend to be more expensive than CompactFlash and SD cards.

Memory card won't work

Try this site for a firmware update. You need to get a AC power adapter for it to work though. It is from Fuji and it worked fine for my A120. The older XD cards are of a different format then the newer ones so if your new XD card has an 'M' on it you will need to do the firmware solution.
Good luck
