I have a Maytag JetClean II portable dishwasher, model
MDC4650AWW. It connects to the kitchen faucet with a plastic "faucet connector." Something seems to be malfunctioning and when I turn on the faucet (to get water into the dishwasher) the pressure from the water overcomes the connector and the connector falls off of the faucet. Needless to say, the dishwasher doesn't fill.
I'm sure this is just a worn plastic part, but is there something I can buy (or replace) from Home Depot? I'd hate to have to pay $200 for a repair visit to replace a $5 plastic part.
The adapter on the faucet is not made for the quick connect hoses. Take the adapter off and bring it to the hardware store so you can compare the others.
It the faucet connector has a lever u push in order to latch on to the faucet, just jam something under it so it maintains upward pressure and wont come unlatched when the water starts flowing

I called Maytag/Whirlppol and they directed me to a site called PartSelect where they helped me identify the parts I would need to replace. I ordered the parts and hopefully I'll know what to do when the parts arrive next week.
The actual right way to do it, is to buy the hoses and the connector piece which comes together as a set and replace it.
