Either don't bridge it or you will have to turn the amp down.

I just bought an '02 Honda Civic SI hatchback that

you have to understand impedance to do this. how many ohm are your 12,s`? you can run all 4 subs in mono off one amp if wired right. it works like this, lets say all 4 of your speakers are 4 ohms. if you wire 2 4 ohm speakers in a series it looks like one 8 ohm speaker to the amp. if you wire them in parallel the amp sees it as 2 ohms, ps most amps cant handle less than 2 ohms in sereo 4 in mono bridge. so no if you take one pair say the tens run them in series now take the 12 run them in series. now take and parallel both sets to amp and you have a 4 ohm load. to better understand do a google search for series parallel circuits. also you amp should be marked for bridging if not look up the amp on the manufacturers web site most will let you download the owners manual for free if in doubt about your amps ability keep it at or above 4 ohms

Backfeed problems

back feed can be caused by running your rca's beside your power wire, and if you don't have your remote wire connected properly your amp might not turn on, or off depending on the amp. it could also be your power wires (acc and constant power) on your deck are mixed up, you would be able to tell if it cant remember the time

I have two 12 inch rockford p1 punches powered by an 800 watt sony explode amp (2 Channel) and i want to install another 15 inch kicker with a 1200 watt amp not sure the model, i got it from a friend and...

I have a similar setup & I just run the second amp straight off the other amp by running positive & remote wires directly from 1 amps positive & remote inputs to the others amps inputs. But my head unit has RCA inputs, (sub in & front & rear inputs) so from my 4 channel amp I run 2 6 inch alpine S's to the front to the front RCA inputs of the head unit, & 2 Pioneer 440w 6x9 inch speakers to the rear inputs. & my 800w 12 inch sub from my 2 channel amp to the sub woofer inputs on the head unit. Has blown my eardrums for nearly 12 months now great stuff! Hope this has helped

Xm-2002gtr amp keeps kicking protect light on

check your amp and speakers and make sure their both hooked up 4 ohm instead of 2 ohm because if you have 1 set of voice coils on your speakers they can only be hooked up four ohm and not bridged to your amp because if you keep trying this you will lock up your speakers if the speakers are only 4 ohm than just hook them up regular to each channel on your amp if your trying to brigde four ohm speakers to your amp it will keep going into protect or worst case scenario you will fry your speakers and you can check your ohm with a ohmmeter trust me my brother owns a stereo shop

I have 2 seperate circuts that keep going out then after a few minutes they come back on

What are you running on these two cirduits?

Is the total load more than the rated breaker?

15 amp should be protecting #14 wire. 20 amp shuld be protecting #12 wire. 30 amp #10 wire.

Add up the amps of everything you have on the line to check this. If you have Clamp Amp meter, you can measure what is going out the wire.

On second thought, if you had a clamp amp meter, you wuldn't be asking the question.

Let me know what you find out ...

Sub cutting out

Check the 12v wire running from the battery to the amplifier. Also the sony explode is a garbage subwoofer compared to the Alpine.. sony (they say 1200w max but its more like 100w to power the thing) Amp could be going. Is the amplifier hot when running. If there is a burnt smell comming from the amp, its the amplifier

I have a memphis amp that puts out 250 watts @ 4ohms and 500 watts @ 2 ohms. I want to hook up 3 sony 12'' explods @ 4 ohms a piece. How do I wire them to the amp to get the maximum output of 500 watts?...

well to be honest your amp probly cant handel 3 speakers because of the impedance levels so just hook up 2 bridges out to + to - on one Speaker then from that same speaker run + and - to the next one

A= amp
S= speakers
