SOURCE: LG Blu-Ray BD-370 unlock codes

To set DVD Region to “0”, download file “6000.zip” (often also called “LG6000.zip”) from here:

http://www.multi-region.net/_media/6000.zip

Save the file and then unzip and extract it to your hard drive.

Now burn the subdirectory RMTM0000 and its contents (not the text file) onto a CD-ROM (ISO format, “closed” CD-ROM).

Insert CD-ROM into the LG BD 370 P player, and when the Region Management System screen is displayed, set the Region Code to “0” using your remote. Once done, press “PAUSE” on you remote to save, and you’re done!

DVD region hack available?

If you suffer from region code troubles, you can download a region free DVD player software tool on your pc and then you can play discs of any regions you want. You can try Leawo Blu-ray Player which is a free Blu-ray player and a region free player.

I need to play a region 1 DVD on my jvc xvs42 but it is saying wrong region code

this will happen from one of 2 things. either the dvd is not a region 1 or the dvd player is not a region 1. if you purchased the player from ebay resently then i would return it. if the dvd player is old and always worked then your dvd is probably not region 1. sometimes when the dvds are packaged there can be mispackings that happen so even if the dvd cover says region 1 it may not be. try another dvd. if another dvd works then the first dvd is the issue.

What region code is my jvc DR-MH30S recorder, and can it be made region free? regards Alan

Asuming you bought in the UK it is region 2. There is software to unlock the region code but this was being sold as a CD on ebay and I really can't recommend that you down that route. James

Region free DVD code for JVC DR MV5 VHS/DVD combo

Hi,

Why don't you just go get another DVD that plays all region.

Its pays. It is not certain that you will get the code for free. I have done a little research but seem not to find any code for your player.

To save your self the stress, get an all region DVD player.

All the best.

My JVC DR-M78BU will not play DVDs with a country code of 1. On the back, it has a globe with a 1 in it. It will play Japanese DVDs but not American. I don`t get it. Please help...

Somebody changed the country code on that player. BTW, it is illegal to change the country code on a DVD player. I would call JVC and see if they can fix it - usually they wouldn't, but since your player clearly has a 1 on the back, then they may have a solution.

The following is for illustrative purposes - these are NOT the codes/procedures to unlock your JVC - I merely post them to show you how one might go about changing the codes on your JVC player - once again, this is not the right procedure for your particular JVC player:
To select an alternative region for this player:
  • Press the Power button on the player to turn it off.
  • Wait 5 seconds.
  • Press and hold the buttons DVD Menu and On Screen on the player together, and then press the Power button on the player to turn it back on.
  • Release the DVD Menu and On Screen buttons.
  • Press the Standby button on your player, the display should now show either "TEST 2", "TEST 4" or "TEST 6" depending on the player region.
  • Press the DVD Menu button on your player twice in a row, the display should now show "000 5858".
  • By pressing the Up and Down cursors buttons, change the first three digits until they read "02E".
  • By pressing the Right and Left cursors buttons, change the last four digits until they read "0000" for Region Free, "0101" for Region 1, "0202" for Region 2, "0404" for Region 4.
  • If you experience difficulties with Region 4 discs, change the above setting to "0458" and make sure that PAL or NTSC is correctly set on your player.
  • Press the Enter button on your player to confirm the region change.
  • Press the Standby button on the player to turn it off.
  • Wait 5 seconds.
  • Press the Standby button on the player to turn it on.
