So your saying you used to use an static ip address prior to getting service with Roadrunner? You probably need to setup your DHCP on your router so it can request a Dynamic IP from Roadrunner servers. Just clarify with me or start up a live chat.

Lets see if this works out for ya.
1. In your browser go to http://192.168.1.1
2. The user will be "admin" and the password field leave it blank
3. Go to the Setup Tab
4. On WAN Connection Type make sure it is set to "Obtain an IP Automatically"
5. Go to the DHCP tab and make sure it is enabled
6. Unplug the Roadrunner modem and the Linksys Router.
7. Wait around 15-30 seconds
8. Plug the Roadrunner modem in and wait until all the lights except the ethernet/computer connection are on.
9. When they are all on plug the Linksys router power back in
10. Wait around 30 seconds and see if your getting a connection
Otherwise get back to me. Good luck.

How can I make settings to support DHCP IP assignments and also recognize my manual IP's assigned to the LAN connected devices?

The easiest way I can think of is to shrink the DHCP address pool.

To do that, at least on the model of Actiontec router I have, click on "Network (Home/Office)" the go to the "IP Address Distribution" section of the screen. "DHCP Server" should already be selected, and under that, you'll find "Start IP addresses" and "End IP addresses." Usually, the start will be 192.168.1.2 and the end will be 192.168.1.254. What I usually do is change the start address to 192.168.1.200. That leaves over 50 addresses for normal wireless connections, and I'll general assign IP addresses from the rest of the range as follows:
192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.9: routers, APs, etc.
192.168.1.50 to 192.168.1.59: printers
192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.109 for other static devices. (I often find that Blu-Ray players, cable boxes, etc. behave better if they have a static address.)

But really, on home network, I doubt you'll have more than 15 devices that need static addresses, so you could set the DHCP start address as low as 192.168.1.16 if you wanted to.

Well my problem is really a network problem, before i was able to surf the net and stay online on my console. But in the past week i am not able to, my console (360) says that my network router is not...

To check your Linksys wireless router settings, open IE browser and type in the Linksys configuration IP address http://192.168.1.1
and login = admin and the PW = admin (if you didn't change the default password) - The default password should be changes to stop unauthorized access into the Linksys router.
If you cannot get into the Linksys router configuration wirelessly, then you need to connect a LAN cable from the computer to the Linksys router.
Check the DHCP and wireless settings. Take a note of the wireless settings (ie SSID, encryption etc.) and check the wireless card setting in the computer, it needs to have these settings for the wireless/LAN to connect to the Linksys router. The TCP/IP settings on the LAN?wireless cards needs to have Obtain IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Linsky worked on Lan Line now I have Cable

Dynamic ip address is provided automatically by your internet service provider..
inorder for the linksys to work you need to remove the old configuration from the linksys.
you need to reset the router, look at back of the router you will see a hole which says reset
you need somethihg pointed like a paper clip or pin to hold it down for about 30 secs, then power off the router wiat for a minute and then power on the router,
now your linksys router should be able to take the dynamic ip address from you internet service provider.

Wireless router install on cable modem w/static ip address set

Connect a computer to linksys lan port 1-4, point browser to linksys http://192.168.1.1 under Setup->Basic Setup->Internet Settings choose "Static IP" and fill in the fields below... the field for gateway should be set to the static ip of your cable modem. the field for netmask should probably be 255.255.255.0. It may help to turn on DHCP for local network so that lan hosts can get their ip's from the linksys.

Unable to access Internet, WAN IP Address present

First you will need to open up your internet browser (Internet Explorer/Netscape) and go to http://192.168.1.1. You will be prompted for a username and password. By default there is no username and the password is admin. Once you arrive at the routers setup page click on the Advanced tab. Once the page finishes loading, you'll find you will be on the "Filters" tab. Look down and make sure that there are no numbers other than 0 in the boxes on that page. If there are, then you will need to replace them with 0's and click Apply, then Continue. Once you've done that, you're going to want to look for Dynamic Routing at the top, and then click on it. Once that page finishes loading, make sure that the "Working Mode" is set to Gateway, not ?Router?, and that tx and rx are set to Disable not RIP-1 or RIP-2. If a static IP address has been set on the computer, verify the gateways matches the Router's LAN IP Address. If there aren't any installed gateways, add the Router's LAN IP Address. When setting static IP Addresses, you must also input the DNS servers. For more information on assigning static IP addresses, please see the related article on assigning static IP addresses.
