Question about KitchenAid KCMS185J Microwave Oven
After making sure the turntable on/off setting was set to ON, I turned the microwave on only to find the turntable was not moving. I removed the glass turntable and inspected the plastic support arms (the one with the wheels). I took it out carefully and saw that the plastic cylinder that holds onto the motor's shaft was broken in half. Where can I buy a replacement part?
Great solution, part # 8172018 but the number given in the best solution is not Whirlpool, but Marcone's ? Supply. I could have ordered it in town most likely, and now in 2012 it costs $43.60 plus tax.
Call a local parts store that has Whirlpool parts and see if they have the part first. If not then google the number YOU want to use.
