I plug my camara into my laptop but its not showing me the camara is connected or asking me to inport photos

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I took the memory stick out of the camara and plugged it into a card reader for the computer. When I put it back in the camara some of the pictures were corrupted (file error). How do I get the pictures...

one suggestion is if they are still on the card, load them into your computer then open with a picture editing software and save them back to the card as a jpeg image.i have found this to work for me in many cases.hope this helps.

My digital camara will not save pictures. Messages appear.

If you are using SD memory card, it can be locked. Take out your memory card, on the left side there's a switch. Turn switch up and try again. Hope this will work.

Cannon Reble xti

Hi

Most Canon cameras you just plug it in the computer and away it goes... If that doesn't work set it to playback mode and then plug it into the USB port. If that still doesn't work, open up My Computer on your computer and see if it shows up, if it does right click it and make sure the Auto Play is set to transfer the pictures and is not turned off.

Hope this helps.

Casio EXILIM camera lens will not extend fully!!!

Try plugging the PC interface cord into the external connector. No need to hook it up to your computer, just plug it in and out a few times. Then try to power up the camera.
Good luck.
