Re: Panasonic DVD player shows EXT-L in its display.
I have the same problem. I switched off the EXT-L button (which had engaged itself spontaneously) but I cannot get the channels to change, nor tv guide nor function menus to engage. I can sometimes short cut this by pressing play which allows me into the system and gives me access to the tuner and other controls, but not always. Help!!!!

Very similar problem with my DMR-EZ27. About 10 minutes into playing back a DVD the color starts going away until I only see a black/white movie. Sometimes color comes back in partially then back to b/w
Hook up the cable wire that comes directly from the wall to the dvd recorder's in connection, then get a 3 ft cable cord and connect from the out of the dvd recorder to the in on the tv. You should be able to set the dvd recorder channel and timer and leave it off. you then should be able to have your tv on and watch any station but to watch the tv with dvd recorder on, your tv should be set to either channel 3 or 4 depending on the switch on back of dvd recorder. I hope this solves your problem. Foxpaw13
