(Acquiring GPS Satellities) appear on the unet and last for 8 to 10 min before map lod and (Ready to Navigate) appear in the unet. the local dealer in JEDDAH Saudi Arabia recommended that I have to format the unet. to do so if you think this solution is valid ... kindly provide me with the rest instruction

I'd remove the battery first, leave it out some time, put it back, fully charge it and use webupdater to see if all is up to date. There is a test menu on the Zumo to see if all works. I will tell you how to get there, only after you have tried the above first!
How do you load maps? and are these Garmin maps. I try to keep the Zumo original and use an SD card for extra maps. Did you try this yet? And if you are using SD cards, try a different brand/quality. I had some lockups with crappy budget cards. Kingston, Sandisk and some other A brands work fine!
You'll have to select the europe map and deselect the usa map. Also you might have to change the locales. to do the first thing
tap wrench/tap map/tap about there you should see both maps, select the one you need and return to the wrench menu, select locales slect change all and walk through the menus (especialy the country!!!)
