SOURCE: Free map updates
Unfortunately, they don't offer free map updates. You can purchase map updates for around $70, but they won't update them for free.
Also, the base model of the C330 does not have enough memory to store the entire 2008 Map Update. Unless you have more memory than it came with stock, you may have to choose which maps to include. For instance, in North America you have to choose between US and Canada - there's insufficient memory to hold both.

There are no free map updates for the StreetPilot Series.
The newer models do come with a free update that must be downloaded within 60 days of purchasing the system.
There are utilities for adding POI (Points of Interest) as well as Browser plugins that can be used to add Favourite Locations from Google maps. these updates are available from the garmin website.

Asmany as there are FREE dinners Updates are not free, unless you paid full price for it when you bought it. Free upgrades are a deceptive myth. If you get a free uograde its usually minor and was included in the price of the pack.

Garmin did that in the beginning. I am really sorry they started charging for their updates because I paid for their newest and found that even it needs work. Last year I was driving in North Carolina when suddenly the Gamin showed me in the middle of a field and trying to get me to turn around. I was on a new highway that was not found or listed in the recent $80.00 update. I love Gamin but they do need to do better on their updates! The best solution is to go to garmin.com and have a chat or call them. I'm a little late for that because the street changes are much faster than a decent updated update. Their products are great and your model may qualify, but I'm not going to pay again! Sea Breeze

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
