Formatting the Nokia 6681 memory card

Here is a tip that I wrote about SDCards and how to unlock and lock SDCards.If youare getting a memory card locked message then check this out.

YOU NEED TO FORMAT YOUR PHONE NOT MEMORY CARD.FORMATTING THE PHONE WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.AND TO AVOID PROBLEM IN FUTURE INSTALL APPLICATION MANAGER ON YOUR PHONE AND WHENEVER YOUR PHONE SAY MEMORY FULL JUST USE THIS SOFTWARE TO COMPRESS MEMORY.

THERE ARE TWO METHOD TO DO FORMAT NOKIA HANDSET.

1. MANUALLY.

1. OPEN MENU>SETTING>PHONE SETTING>FACTORY SETTING.
2. PRESS O.K. A MENU WILL POP UP LIKE YOU LAST ALL YOUR DATA PRESS O.K.
3. IT WILL ASK FOR CODE ENTER CODE( DEFAULT CODE IS 12345).
4. PRESS OK IT WILL DO FORMAT YOUR PHONE.

2. USING CODE.

1. DIAL *#7370# ON MAIN SCREEN.
2. A MENU WILL POP UP LIKE FORMATTING PHONE.
3. PRESS OK IT WILL ASK FOR CODE ENTER 12345 AND PRESS OK
4. IT WILL DO FORMAT FOR YOU.

3.METHOD NO.3(FOR S60 SERIES MOBILE)

1. SWITCH OFF YOUR PHONE.
2. WHILE SWITCHING ON PRESS THREE BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME.(1.GREEN DIALING KEY 2.*KEY,3 KEYPAD NO. 3 KEY) WITH POWER ON BUTTON.
3. A MESSAGE WILL POP UP LIKE FORMATTING. HOLD BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS AND RELEASE THEM AFTER THAT.
4. YOUR PHONE WILL RESTART AND ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE GONE

Hi,

To format nokia Nokia 6681 mobile please follow the below steps.

Please download the software called as 'Psiloc System Tools'.

You can download the system tool software from below website

Install it in your phone memory.DONOT install in your memory card because we will be removing the memory card.

Remove the memory card

Open the installed software.

Go to 'TOOLS'

You will find the option called as 'format phone',select it.

It will ask for confirmation, confirm it and it will format your phone.

It will restart while formatting and this process takes several minutes.

Once the mobile is started your mobile is formatted.

NOTE: Formatting will delete all your content from your phone memory.

Hi,

Goto Tools -> settings -> General. There you can find some options like restore factory settings. Use this to format the phone data. For formatting data persent in memory card you can either format via connecting to PC and formatting as like formatting a pen drive or else goto Menu-> settings-> memory. There you can go to options and select Format Memory card.

just format the phone by swtiching off the phone first wait 30 seconds now hold the three buttons toghther that is calling key ,numeric pad no. 3 key and * key and swtich on the phone wait for it to show formatting and you can unlock your phone easily but your data in the phone memory will get erased but the sim memory and memory card will not erased

GO TO RRESTORE FACTORE SETTING OR DIAL CODE *#7780# IT WILL RESTORE ALL SETTING AND REMOVE CORRUPTIONS WITHOUT REMOVING UR DATA

OR
REMOVE MMC BACK UP OF ALL UR DATA FROM PHONE MEMORY INSTALL NOKIA PC SUITE IN UR PC AND
DOWNLOAD UPDATES FOR NOKIA MOBILE FROM NOKIA.COM INSTALL IT AND UPDATE UR MOBILE ONLINE.IT
WILL FORMATE UR MOBILE AND RESET UR CODE TO 12345 AND ALSO RESET ALL SETTINGS
do restore factor setting form setting menu it solve ur problems or backup ur data format
ur phone use *#7370# code it remove all virus and corrupt file
i guarantee my solution is always right
plz dont forgetme to rate on fixya (blue line)

Please try to format the memory card using a memory card reader on computer and then insert the card back in phone, it will say corrupted again, but now you try again to format it from phone and it should work now,,.....

my shoud not the format code is not accepted

If your memory card is not working properly, back up any data from your device's memory card to your PC, then format the memory card using your Nokia device. Please refer to your device's user guide for information on formatting the memory card.
If you get an error message during the formatting process, or an error message after formatting stating that your device cannot read the memory card volume, please take the memory card to your nearest Nokia service point.
Warning: Formatting your memory card will permanently erase all data stored on the memory card. Please back up all data stored on your memory card before formatting.
Important: The memory card inside your Nokia device should ONLY be formatted using your Nokia device. Do not attempt to format your memory card on another device such as a PC, otherwise your memory card may not work properly.
