Hi, TV needs convergence output ICs replacement as existing got
defective and causing above said symptoms. These are two big black ICs on D board of tv that will be replaced. Let me know if you have
additional question. Thanks.
Is the convergence adjustment option still listed on the on screen menu or has it disappeared? Thats a very easy chassis to repair so let me know if the option has disappeared or not and I can asssist you with how to fix it.
This television set, as well as most rear-projections, is prone to convergence driver problems. There are two large chips (STK392-110's) in the TV that need to be replaced, as well as some resistors that are likely damaged as well. Any competent TV repair shops should be able to repair this TV for 200-300 dollars. It is important to note that if the back of the TV is taken off without the proper prep., the Digital input (DVI) will be disabled permanently.
Good Day, wars;
You may have a poor seated cable connector. Unplug TV from A/C, remove back look for a large black connector. It connects between the Main Digital Module and the Drive PWB. Re-insert both ends several times to make better contact, use contact cleaner if have but not always needed. Good Luck, big IRISH.
chances are the repair man wanted to sell you a whole board because with mitsubishis this problem is amost always the convergence ic's also in that model very seldom the resistors burn out in that unit its almost always the IC's that do that.
