Wow A Mystery Faucet!!! SOUNDS LIKE THE WATER LINES FEEDING THE FAUCET MAY BE SWITCHED. CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE COLD FEED GOES TO THE COLD SIDE AND THE SAME FOR THE HOT. SOMETIMES MISTAKES ARE MADE WHEN INSTALLING THE FAUCET. MAKE SURE THEY ARE CONNECTED THE SAME AS THE 2 THAT ARE WORKING. IF YOU HAVE THE TIME AND PATIENCE, YOU CAN TAKE A WORKING FAUCET AND INSTALL IT IN PLACE OF THE (mystery faucet) AND SEE IF YOU HAVE THE SAME RESULTS. IF YOU GET HOT WATER IN THE TEMPORARY FAUCET, THEN YOU HAVE A DEFECTIVE FAUCET. THESE ARE A FEW TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS I HOPE THAT MAY HELP YOU.....JOE

NO I don't this that is it, I have the same problem, it is not the cartridge either, after reading a few of these solutions I am thinking that the lines are clogged with calicum or other debris from the water heater. I am going to pull my cartridge from the shower tomorrow and run the water through it to clear any possible blockages.

Moen single handled shower the hot water turns cooler then cold after a minute

Your whole house is likely plumbed wrong so that it is impossible to have equal pressures of both hot and cold at your shower. If you had your home plumbed with aquapex using a radiator for the hot water and a radiator for the cold water and have the radiators fed with a 1 inch line you can have close to perfect pressures.

Low hot water pressure on Moen Single-Handle Shower Only posi-temp shower control. Cold water pressure is fine. Hot water pressure elsewhere in house is ok. Cold it be the cartrige -- lime buidlup, etc.?

I think you are on the right track. The first thing I would do is change the cartridge. While you have the valve apart examine the inlet ports as good as you can to see if there is any mineral buildup. You can use a short length of a small gauge mallable wire to run into water ports to se if you can break anything loose. Another thing you can do is to turn supply stop on slightly while you have the valve disassembled to wash any particles out. Hope this helps you and thanks.

My shower has been leaking for months. someone

turn the water off to the shower, sometimes you must shut down the whole house at the main ,near the water meter, then take the handle off slide the clip in front up and out then pull posi-temp straight out.replace posi-temp in reverse order.be mindful of the H/C indicator on posi-temp this will ensure you have hot and cold on right sides,if reversed just flip posi-temp.

I have a Moen Posi-temp single handle tear drop tub and shower that gives me no hot water

i am assuming you have hot water in same bathroom and that its fed by the same pipe? if so ask yourself did i have anything done recently that may have affected the shower ?if not i would think you have some kind of a blockage in fitting. one way to try to clear it is shut off water to house open shower fitting to what used to be the hot side when working, leave shower open,go o lowest level of house open hot side in sink you may get lucky and vacumn(think ****)debri from shower good luck .

Moen posi-temp for shower pressure

Is this only happening in your shower? Or through the hole house? Maybe you shower head has a flow restrictor in it. Try removing it!
