Select clock setting from settings on the home screen press circle on the control button. Select ^/v On The Control Panel Then Press Circle.Select Each Item With </> And Set The Numeric Value ^/V Then Press Circle. Select Ok Then Hit Circle. Once Complete The Camera Should Be Able To Power Off And On Without Loosing The Time. If It Still Doesn't Remember The Time And Or Date The Internal Memory Maybe Malfunctioning.

Another Thing To Try Is Removing The Battery Then Installing It again.
If The Unit Continues To Fail At Remembering The Date And Time Also Try
Taking Out The Battery And Holding The On Off button for 30 seconds and
putting the battery back in. You may also want to place a small folded
piece of paper in between the door and the bottom of the battery to
make sure the battery isnt loosing contact. If The problem still
persists let me know and I will further assist you.

If it still doesn't work then the problem is the battery isn't making a good enough contact. After you put the battery in, place a dime on top of it and shut the battery door - This should resolve your issue

Set the dial to the black 'M' for manual, press the menu button and use the up/down arrows to navigate down to the time lapse function. Press the right arrow and note one minute appears in the screen and instructions on the bottom of screen that you press the menu button to start the time lapse. While the 1 minute is on the screen, you can press the up/down arrows to select 5,10,etc minute, I always use the one minute option, easier to delete than to re-shoot. From the time lapse / menu, the screen explains to press the shutter to start the time lapse. At this time, I make sure the focus is working, turn off the flash, (press flash button twice till small Icon is in upper left of screen) and make sure there is enough memory for the time needed. At one minute intervals, 24 hours will use 1440 pictures at one meg each, that is a gig and a half for the SF setting.
camera uses four AA batteries and has an the external battery Jack. I generally use the internal batteries only for keeping the clock set. Alkaline batteries have a longer shelf life that they have a much shorter camera photography life. This means they will last for many months to keep the clock set and only last minutes to take pictures. The rechargeable AA batteries will take twice as many pictures but will only last a month to keep the clock set.

Sony cybershot dsc-w120 lens goes crazy whenever I turn it on and tells me to turn it off.

The camera should go off automatically when faulty. attempt to explore teh functions on the camera is discover the unique experience beyond power shut down requests. When powered on, capture a snap shot immediately or else the camera takes charge to poweroff to save batteries. Also, attempt to power charge since the insufficeient battery does not allow the camera to stay on long.

Sony camera wont take pictures

It is problem of lens mechanism that does not send initialize signal to system control chip and camera tries 3 times for that then give up so that error message comes in result.
Replace lens assembly to fix the problem.
Local camera repair shop will help you to replace it.
Thanks.

If you set current time in clock set, it will not asked you again. I think you just cancel it when clock set display appears.
