i have a dell 8500 and the screen does the same thing........ some times the screen stays lit for 60 seconds sometimes less. i thought maybe it was from using the wrong power pack i sometimes use the one for the latitude....... but now i'm not sure........i want the screen to be reliably lit up and stop this!!!!!

The reason they say that the laptop is obsolete because the 1 year warranty on the laptop is over an i belive that the laptop is more than 2 or 3 years old.inorder to resolve this issue remove all the peripherials from the laptop and then press the power button for 2 to 3 minutes and then restart the system.

Sony VAIO VCG-FE770g, turns on automatically after pressing Hybernate or turn-off

Go into power option, select hibernate, uncheck box to the left to disable hibernate, this will free up disc space and get rid of the problem. If that is not an option do a system restore before the update

2001 zx-6r.... bike idols great and takes off great....after a few minutes bike cuts out...acts like it is getting no fuel...idol for a minute then takes off fine again... have replaced fuel pump...pick up...

Just a shot in the dark here. I would check for (1) Fuel filter. (2) restriction in fuel line to the fuel pump. then, the fuel line from the pump to the carb's . Even though you have a filter there is a small screen in the main fuel inlet to the carbs. Next this could be a weak pump. As the fuel bowls fill up you have a supply of fuel to start and run for a few minutes, as you use that fuel the pump is not replenishing the fuel in the bowls, and you run out of fuel. As you sit still, fuel goes back in the carbs and she starts up. Look for a restriction or weak pump.

My dell inspiron laptop 1000 screen turns dark every few seconds. if I close the computer half way and open it,it stay bright for a few seconds and turns dark again

This is your back light on your lcd display, To prove that have a flash light handy when it goes dark point the flash light at the screen and you should see the screen and that would mean right there you got a back light going out or the inverter that powers it is going bad. Etherway if this is not your area of work you need to tech it to a computer tech local to have it repaired.

Thanks for being considerate with your ratings and feedback today.

Dell Latituse D600 display goes dark

Hello,

The picture board on your monitor is faulty or bad, since it goes black after few seconds, it means the picture board of your laptop has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the laptop to a local repairer within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself. in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.
