It depends which one. If it is like Bitlocker, go into Bitlocker and click to turn off Bitlocker. This may take sometime to decrypt the files!

Wireless card

Not according to specs - its has wireless 802.11b/g installed. If wireless is not enabled, and there is no separate wireless button, check the function keys and look at the blue legends hat are on them. One of them may look like a transmitting antenna. To activate the key, press and hold the "Fn" key while pressing the function key with the legend to see if that activates the wireless. If so, pressing it again will deactivate it.

How do I deactivate the Fn key on my computer?

Most keyboards with a function key have a specific color on the key or shape on the function key...match that color or shape with other keys with that same color or shape and those keys will be operated by the func key when hit after the func key is held down!

My cursor is frooze and wont move? i have taken the battery out but its still in the same place.. any ideas?

On many laptops, the touch mouse can be deactivated so that a external mouse can be used. It is typically a 2 key combination using the "function (Fn)" key.

Look for any keys on your laptop that seem to have a little mouse icon and press that key along with the function key.

If this does not resolve the issue ... you can also try an external mouse and see if that moves the cursor.

Hi fellas, i'm having trouble with my vaio pcg-k47. the fn key is on all the time, and instead of having letters on the key board, there are some that are wr5ting nnumbers. can u help me fix that? Can u...

Press the Function (Fn) key again to deactivate it.

Please check if the "NUM LOCK" is enabled. If it is enabled then press it to disable to resolve the letter/number key issue.

You may disable the Function key by removing the VAIO Event Services Utility or HKSERV Utility from the Startup.

1. Click on the Start, select RUN, in Run command type: msconfig and press the Enter key.

2. In the MS Configuration Utility, un-check the VAIO Event Services Utility or HKSERV Utility and then click on Apply then OK.

3. Then, restart the Computer. This will disable the Function key in the Computer.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

Wireless is down I think I need a new driver

double check and make sure you have not deactivated the wireless function. Most laptops have a function key in combination with an fkey that will turn on and off the wireless, check your users manual for the specific key function, if you do not have the manual check the web site of the MFG for one. Good luck
