The solution given above works. But just be aware that the remote "Idalia ZM" is talking about that you press enter + 1 on is your television remote. Fast forward, rewind and skip (both directions) worked after doing this. Thank you Idalia ZM!
You don't, you just press the FORWARD button on remote during DVD playback to 'fast forward' (pressing this button a second time during playback increases forward scan speed). The forward and reverse buttons have 'SLOW/SEARCH' printed above them on the remote. The other buttons next to them are the PREV/NEXT buttons (SKIP/INDEX).
DVD playback speed/skip/search is mostly a manual user function; it cannot be auto set.
Usually DVD players DVD players come along with remote controls which have fast forward buttons which have the icon as ">>" .
All you need to do , is press the button as per your requirement of fast forwarding.
If you press the one, you would get a message as x2 on the TV screen and if you again press it , it would display x3 and if you press the button again it would show x4 , that is the maximum speed you can have usually for fast forwarding.
So the solution is to keep pressing the button multiple times to change the fast forward speed.
Hopet his helps ...Your feedback would be appreciated.
Enter the security code using your Kenwood remote. For the DDX6019 The key sequence to enter the security code KCAR is: on the side of the remote there is AUD, DVD,TV. now enter 55 in the AUD then go to DVD and enter 2 which is fast forward then go back to AUD. Do the same for the rest. 5 5 fast forward 2 2 2 fast forward 2 fast forward 7 7 fast forward

The only operations available on the JSI JS4110 without a remote are play, pause, stop, and eject. Since this DVD player "remembers" position of the movie, a different DVD would have to be inserted and played to start that movie over from the beginning. As for fast-forward, this is only available with the remote.
