KVT 819DVD navigation Icon works but does not launch navigation blue screen - I have to hit the "V" button 3 times to get the navigation. Shouldn't the NAvigation Icon automatically launch the gps system? Help!

Thanks cashmoney88 for responding - My Nav is set to auto - Im not sure if the system should operate like this but when I tap on my Navigation Icon , a new screen appears and says Navigation on the left top side but the actual navigation does not turn on until I go thru screens with the V button. I was hoping the blue screen with the AGREE button would come up as soon as I tap on the navigation icon . what do you think - someone had the same problem and said the wires wer in the wrong place but there's only one cable going into my system from my nav component (GNA510). what do you think?

Ensure that NAV is set to auto. To set it up you have to access the user setup menu. To access that you would have to press the FNC button and look for the wrench Icon and scroll down until you get to user interface. Also keep in mind, whatever screen that you are viewing before you shut your vehicle off is the screen that is going to pop back up once you start your vehicle up again. Let me know if this works for you.

Don't know if it will help with your nav issue, but I had a similar issue with dvd player on my kvt-915. The dvd player would not start automatically, I had to cycled through the V button and select the dvd player to get it started and if I selected another source, like FM tuner, the dvd plyer would stop until I selected it again. I went into the zone control menu and selected dvd and now it continues to play no matter the source. May work for you.

I have an alpine iva-w502 e with navigation when i try to put the nav on it goes to the warning screen and i press ok but nothing happens how can i solve this

This issue is solved with an update available from the Alpine website. The way it was explained to me is that every time you turn the unit on, it loads that overlay warning screen (even if you don't select navigation), so when you do go to the navigation, there might be 5-10-20-however many times you have turned the unit on overlays. Basically you can keep pressing it and eventually it will go away (if you have turned the unit on 100 times it would get a little annoying though) or you can download the update from the Alpine website and the issue will go away.

the LCD meter will stay on until voltage in the car stabilizes, and you will notice that if u hit the power unlock button it will turn back on after its off..

do you have it hooked up correctly?

I Usually run power from battery to + of capacitor then another wire from positive of capacitor to amp, Then you can run ground from amp to capacitor negative then anotheer wire from cap - to a good ground

Unlock security Code Kenwood KDC-MP3035

To reset the code do the following:

1) Turn on the car.
2) The faceplate rotates out and the CODE - - - - prompt appears.
3) Press >>' and Auto keys simultaneously on the faceplate and hold for 4 seconds. (If the faceplate rotates back into the console push on the upper left top edge of the faceplate and it will flip back around. Press the Eject button and then try it again.)
4) The screen will still say CODE, but the - - - - will disappear! When this happens press the 5 key on the remote twice and it enters a K on the display on the faceplate. Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.
5) Press the 2 key on the remote three times and it enters a C on the display on the faceplate. Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.
6) Press the 2 key on the remote once and it enters an A on the display on the faceplate. Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.
7) Press the 7 key on the remote twice and it enters an R on the display on the faceplate. Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.
8) The radio goes into All Off mode and you are set! Hit the SRC button on the faceplate to select CD, Radio, etc.
