Could be the LCD itself, the ribbon cable between the motherboard (or the video card) and the LCD. Or the video chip itself. Hooking up an external monitor and enabling it (usually by using the Fn key and another key that looks like a monitor). If this looks ok, then it is either the ribbon cable or the LCD itself. Vertical line running thru my laptop display


This sounds like the display is possiblely aged to a point to where its showing that its going bad this is normal on any LCD display even for a LCD TV it maybe time to replace the screen in ur laptop

Screen as lines coming down screen of my toshiba satellite laptop


Boot the computer in BIOS and if you sill have lines than the LCD is leaking.

To boot to BIOS tap "F2" OR "F10", multiple times as soon as you hit the power button to turn on the computer/

Power cord adapter falls out of socket in rear of laptop for satellite P105-9722 is there a cure or should i buy a new power cord and adapter?


hi im wesley. please make sure the socket is not maybe broken, if its fine then i would suggest replacing the adapter only because the power cord shuold be fine.

This sounds like something has messed up your crystals in your display, and while I do not know that much about laptop displays this sounds like it can only be fixed by a technician or by replacement.
