Question about Konica Minolta DiMAGE X60 Digital Camera

Startup problem Minolta x60

I have a Minolta x60. The camara does not start up anymore. Normaly it makes a start up sound but now it starts the sound and then breaks off. I removed the battery and put in in again without any difference. I also tried another battery but without result. I changed the memory card also no change. It looks as if some software does break off immediately after starting. Does anybody know what the reason can be and if it can be solved?

My camera takes pictures automaticlly really fast. Is there a setting that I should change to repair or stop it? Without turnig off the camera.

The camera shooting mode/drive mode has been changed to Continues advance which takes four pictures when the shutter is pressed and held. Or it could be on Multi Frame mode where it takes 9 pictures when the shutter is button is pressed once.

Here is a PDF manual that will help.

You will need to copy and past this in your browser window.

The link is good I'm using right now to determine the problem.

The following are two screen shots of page 45 of the manual describing what needs to be done to bring the camera back to single frame use.
Text for auto rest

And page 37 of the manualtri3mast_104.jpg
This will bring your camera back to single picture with the click of the shutter

My Dimage x60(Konica Minolta) lens cover does not turn the camera off in the closed position. I can only turn camera off by removing the battery.

I had the same problem. Great little camera and never used it for a long time because of this very thing. Finally took it apart to have a look tonight and there's a very delicate switch which was stuck in the on position. I fiddled with it and finally managed to break it completely (!). I think it was just old and worn out. I ended up prising the silver cover off the switch - you really need a strong light and a good quality (jewellers) monacle to do this as the switch really is tiny - and supergluing the thing back together in the on position. Best I could do so now I'm back at square one but I don't know how long it'll last.
In short - best to live with it as it is as it's so easy to break (and not so easy to fix again).

Konica minolta dimage x60 problems

Just a suggestion, I have same X60 and no cable. Instead, transfer all of your pictures to the Memory card and use the Mem card unto a card reader going to your PC.

Get Sony to repair it; they bought the division from Konica-Minolta.

Need to replace 2.5 inch TFT display

Ah that's a shame! But here's the dealio - fo'get about it. Er, well unless your a camera tech sort of person. In which case, you can prolly buy the display directly from Konica. But my experience has been -for even the smallest part- you can buy a new digital camera for what they're going to charge you for the part. Especially the lcd. Actually, I hardly use my lcd screen anyway. I prefer using the viewfinder. Using the lcd as the view finder makes you hold the camera way out and increases your chances for blurry photos.

I pressed in a pop up lence manually...

your lens mechanism is stuck up! try pulling the lens with slight force, if you are lucky the culprit that is blocking the mechanism will get loose. If you are not lucky theres no way you can remove or fix the problem than sending it to the authorized service center. =-(
