On your cords their are three or four wires.1 black 1red 1 white and 1 green.the red and black go on the furthest out side bolts of the machine,[term block]the white goes on the middle[of the term block] and the green if you have one goes to ground ,the body of the washer.most offten theres a screw[its green] near by for the ground near the cord term block.red or black dose not matter if top or bottom.they are both the same voltage.this is the same if you cord term block is horizontal or vertical .if the other color happened to be blue, which i have never seen one .it would be in the place of the red.all connections must be tight,or some day will burn at that loose connection. God bless ,tom

Not really sure what you are asking. But if you trying to hook the cord up... Green and white go to the middle terminal Then black or red to either side it doesnt matter which.

How to connect a plug electric dryer to a 4 plug outlet

for short, just dont mind the color.. the black wire from the new plug goes to right in/on the appliance terminal block, the white from the new plug goes to both white in the middle of the same terminal block and the red wire from the new plug goes to left terminal block of the appliance therminal block and of coarse the green from the new plug goes to the appliance frame.. no need nor sense in trying to figure the wire color of the appliance as it does not mean anything really and it does not follow any rules nor standards..

I am changing out the wiring from a 3 wire to a four wire. The terminal block has (top to bottom) black, whiteandblue wires. The new 4 prong wiring has a white black green and red wire... what goes where...

The black, red & blue wires are your hot (120 volt) wires. Two of them get conn. to the two brass colored screws. The white is the neutral wire which conn. to the siver screw. The green wire is the ground wire conn. to the green screw which is the grounding screw.
