Why won't my yahoo page load through Firefox? It works through Explorer. When I go to My Yahoo page, after it loads, I see nothing. I have removed cookies, remove and reloaded Firefox, I even asked Firefox for help, but it was so frustrating and yahoo only wants me to use the question and answer format through waiting for post. I am tempted to go back to Explorer. If I had not kept IE on my computer, I would not never see this page.

Click on your Internet Explorer icon; you'll find this in your Start menu, or the toolbar at the bottom of your desktop window.
Type in "yahoo.com" in IE's search box at the top of the browser window.
The yahoo homepage will load.
Go to toolbar at the top of browser, and click on "Tools", then "Internet Options".
If the "tools" option is missing, press the ALT key on your keyboard and it should pop up.
At the top of the pop-up, you'll see a "Home Page" box. The address of the site that you are currently at (http://www.yahoo.com) is there. Press the "Use Current" button to specify this page as your home page.
Make Yahoo your homepage in Firefox
Open the Firefox browser.
Type in "yahoo.com" to Firefox's address bar.
At the top of your browser window, you'll see the Firefox tool bar (this includes the words "File", "Edit", etc.). Click on Tools, then Options.
The popup window will open up with the default option of General. At the top of the window, you'll see "Home Page Locations." If you're satisfied with the page you're currently at and would like to set it as your Home Page, click on "Use Current Page."
here is my advice : Just go to www.microsoft.com and download internet explorer again
and install it , then reboot your system . I'm sure that this will
solve the problem . any way , why don't you try other internet
communication softwares like ( firefox or google chrome) those both are
great also . I advice you to have more than one internet communication
software . I already have three just in case if one of them is
corrupted . I have ( Internet explorer and firefox and google chrome )
. just try the idea and you'll be satisfied with the result . good luck .
you can try optimizing your browser. if you're using internet explorer, click on tools > internet options. on the middle part of the general tab, under browsing history, click on delete and make sure you delete all temporary internet files and cookies.
if it doesn't work, try another browser like firefox (download it for free at www.mozilla.com) or google chrome. if you're still having the same problem, then the problem is with yahoo.
Sounds like a dns problem.<br><br>press "widows key (Has a flag printed on it) r" then type "cmd" then type "ping www.yahoo.com"<br><br> it should give you something like this<br><br>Pinging www.yahoo-ht3.akadns.net [22.214.171.124] with 32 bytes of data:<br><br>
Reply from 126.96.36.199: bytes=32 time=51ms TTL=49
<br>Reply from 188.8.131.52: bytes=32 time=53ms TTL=49
<br>Reply from 184.108.40.206: bytes=32 time=58ms TTL=49
<br>Reply from 220.127.116.11: bytes=32 time=51ms TTL=49
Ping statistics for 18.104.22.168:<br>
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),<br>
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:<br>
Minimum = 51ms, Maximum = 58ms, Average = 53ms<br>
<br><br> you need the 22.214.171.124 number. (May be different on yours.) Now take that number and put it whrere you usually type www.yahoo.com in firefox. If it works its a dns issue and it is usually the service providers end. If it doesnt work then reinstall firefox.
