    HI,

    If a game freezes while
playing, usually the power, reset, and eject buttons will not respond.
Try unplugging the AC Adapter from the back of the console, then check
the air vents to make sure they're not being blocked – as that could be
causing overheating. Improper ventilation may lead to locking or other
severe problems with your Wii. When you unplug the system, please leave
it unplugged for 60 seconds to insure a proper reset of the Wii.

There can be many reasons for your Wii console to freeze. Read this article and if you have a problem similar to one of those mentioned in this article, then solution is at hand! It just pauses. And after some time you realize that it’s not a pause but a STOP!! And it freezes!! You are in the middle of an interesting game on your Wii and it suddenly freezes.

This generally happens because there is a flash RAM in some models and the update is not applied properly.

  • The immediate thing we can do in this kind of problem is that just shut down the system, wait for 20 seconds and reboot it. This should resolve the issue if your system has an interim issue.
  • If you still continue to have the problem we need to reformat it. As per the research regarding wii freezing, majority of the issues get resolved when we reformat it.
Well if you still have the problem again call up the customer support and get your system replaced.

Most wii games are flawless but, some are shipped with factory flaws not discovered before delivery. Try cleaning the medium then, if the problem persist, its defiantly a manufacturing flaw and it should be sent back for factory repair or exchangment.
