We have had our Keurig for 18 months, and this problem just recently started. When I push the "ready to brew" button, a loud vibrating noise starts. If I remove the chrome plate on which you rest the cup, the noise goes away, but then the mug doesn't fit correctly in the black plastic basin. It still works but is very annoying.
-   I have the same problem, although with mine it started pretty early on; I was just too lazy to do anything about it.
I just called Keurig to ask them about it, and their answer was unfortunately the earlier models had noisy pumps, but they have since redesigned the brewers.
In the mean time, they suggested descaling the brewer, as that can have an effect on the noise if it has not been done in a while. I imagine it was just to get me off the phone, but I am willing to give it a try.-   Guest

-   My Keurig does the same thing. It vibrates so loud that the cups need to be held or they will fall off the basin. I hate using it because the entire kitchen sounds like its taking off for outer space.

If you slide out the drip catcher tray and just remove it, the brewer works just fine. Granted, your mug is sitting a little further away from the spout, but it does take care of the metallic rattle.

My Keurig B60 sometimes shuts off after one cup. I've only had it for six weeks. Sometimes it shuts off before it's used. We only use our coffee maker in the morning. After my husband & I have had 2 cups each, I fill the water tank and then shut it off. Next morning we turn it on, like this morning, after my husband's cup it shut off & has been doing that off & on for a month. Could you let me know what the problem is?

Descaling has already been done. Brewer starts to brew and fills about 1/2 cup then the water begins to run back through the vent into the water resevior. What is causing this?
