1. Turn the power off first
2. Slide out the keyboard
3. Power on and press ad hold the 'R' Key
4. In Android system recovery use Vol keys to scroll up and down
5. Use the power key to make a selection.
If you cannot get to a recovery you will need to use ODIN to flash phone to factory state. this "should" fix anything unless phone itself is bad. Here is a ODIN guide for your phone. ODIN is official samsung flashing tools available for free from samsung. Good Luck.
Go look at the system cabinet. The processor (the card with all the jacks in the center) are numbered. If it's an R8 card, then they number 10-18 from left to right and top to bottom. (actually 10-14 and 15-18) 13 and 17 are right next to each other :-)

On the intercom you dial *7104 xxx #. The xxx being your system VM extension (usually 500). Then you dial *71318. Note, the 18 is a 2 digit number for 18 seconds. That will make the 4th ring be into the voice mail system and it should answer on the first ring. You can adjust the time from 00-99, except after you get to 30 or so, the transer recall timer should pull the call back in before your phone answers.
After you dial the 710x code, you should be able to press the FWD/DND button and have it cycle between on and off. There is also a 3rd state DND, but it also has to be initially dialed from your intercom.
Hi,talking from experience,i will suggest you contact phone engineer in your area to carry out a check on the major components of your phone such as the earpiece,mouthpiece,LCD etc which might have been damaged(70%probability) as a result of the great shock experienced when it fell apart, It won't cost me anything to give you the proper orientation of the hangup plunger wire,but you not knowing the orientation of this wire,which if i describe to you,you may end up doing it wrongly which poses a great risk or electric shock according to avaya,how are you sure some basic components have been installed properly by you. So please take caution,contact a phone engineer in your area to assist you
Feature 00 press an unused button if it has something assigned to it press the mic button and press the button again to assign the code. Or just remember the code and use it. The feature button is just that when you use up buttons.
Flash or recall is used by pressing feature 03. You can program a button to use recall by pressing feature 00, pressing a button you wish to program as recall, and pressing feature 03. Enter feature 00 to exit programming.
Enter hour and minute via dialpad.
Press Recall to change AM/PM setting.
Press Hold to change to calendar setting.
OR Press Feature to exit this feature.
Press Recall to select day of week.
Dial # to move the cursor to day of month field.
Enter day of month via dialpad.
Press Recall to select month.
Dial # to move the cursor to year field.
Enter last two digits of year via dialpad.
