Sharp DT-100 projector bad picture quality

Hello,

I have a Sharp DT-100 projector with a Blueray connected & it is not very good quality. Regular dvd's are blurry as well. I've adjusted everything I can think of & I can only get so so quality. I have also hooked up a different dvd player & still bad quality. Could it be a bad bulb? Please help. Thank you

Hi There Not sure what you visually describe as "blurry" This could be two things - a typical white screen will waste all the definition and brighteness unless you sit in a dark room Our ICE Digital Daytime Screens will take any projector and make the image up to 2000% brighter with a resolution reseolving ability of 20 million pixels. So in this case the definition you are alluding to could be lack of contrast, image definition due to insufficient light from the projector relative to the lux level of the room. Alternatively the lamp could be getting old. The brightness of a lamp falls off rapidly so as you use it more and more the image will become duller and duller contributing to a "blurry" or image lacking in punch etc.
The technical lamp hour spec life is only a manufacturers "up to xxx hours" and not what you will achieve in actual life.
If you want we are able to supply lamps as we ship internationally and also the same with our ICE Digital Daytime projection screens. Sharp DT-100 Lamp cost is $US261 delivered. While watching my sharp dt - 510 projector the picture changed to black & white and start to jitter.... color has not returned after restart...60% bulb life used...

That will happen as the projector loses syncronisation with the in coming video.
Check the leads and connectors for poor contact. The lamp will not give that effect.

How to replace a ballast on the sharp projector DT

Flip over the projector with the bottom up to you. you will see a panel door front right of the lens. There is one screw to be removed from the lamp panel door. There will be two holding screws that hold the lamp housing in place, remove these. grab the handle and pull up towards you thus releasing the lamp housing assy. Then place the new lamp and firmly press down and then tighten the two screws that held the lamp assy, then replace the cover.
You will then need to reset the lamp timer. by pressing the menu+enter+the arrow button between the keystone and menu button simultaneously.

My projector blew a bulb after installation what the problem generic bulb

Hello :

Check out the Power supply to the lamp . It must not be high . . Check if the voltages are correct to the lamp's unit and it's PCB [printed circuit board]. I recommend using a service manual .

Check for manual here please :
Sharp DT-100 Multimedia Projector manual .

........................................................................

Here is how to replace a projector's bulb correctly :

1:Make sure that your power switch is off and that the power cord is unplugged from the electrical socket.
It is also wise to unplug any other cables and label them in order to restore them in the right way once the lamp is replaced.

2:In order to see the lamp, remove the access handle on the outside cover. You may need to use a screwdriver.

3:Pull out the used lamp and clean the relevant parts using micro fiber products and not paper.
Please note that in some projectors a small inside filter should also be replaced.

4:Insert the new lamp into the projector carefully avoiding touching the glass of the lamp itself.
Touching the lamp will deposit skin oil that will likely damage any new lamp during use.

5:Reassemble the access panel, repluge the cables and power up the projector.

Things You'll Need:
new projector lamp
screwdriver
micro fiber duster
Warning:
avoid touching the bare projector lamp
I hope this will help .

rate please !

My projector suddenly stopped working

The instruction manual says that to reset the timer you have to hold down (simultaneously) the Menu button, then Enter button and the Down arrow...then press the Standby/On button on the projector. This worked the first time I replaced the bulb, but now that I've had to replace it again, its not working. Good Luck.

Remote contol code for a DT 510 projector

try one of the sharp tv codes. if you just want to use the remote to turn it on, this might work. if you want to use it for other functions of the projector, it won't. the remote is not set up for that.
