    Mr. Mark52,

I double checked the model #. It is 110.77052600, Kenmore Elite Oasis Gas Dryer. It will work under any cycle and the read time display will cycle down to about 7(minutes?) left and then it will remain at that number for a long time. It is suppose to go down to zero and give 3 beeps to show it has completed the entire drying cycle. While it continues at "7" it is not necessarily drying the clothes, especially towels. So, I would have restart the whole process again for maybe another 10 minutes to get them completely dry.

Have you checked the vent duct, all the way to the outside of the house, to make sure you get a strong blast of air at the discharge? I've seen lint build up in the louver enough to limit air flow, and depending on how it is sitting, you can not always see the lint unless the dryer is runnig.

And, if you look up inside the drum, you'll see a grate area where the heated air comes from the burner. That grate should be clear of lint. If not, you'll need to access it from the backside and collect all the loose lint.

Also, make sure the vent hose doesn't crimp when you push the dryer back to the wall.

It might be that you have a bad over temp thermostat, but I would expect that to reset in a period of time. It would extended the dry cycle, but it doesn't explain the timer stopping. And last but not least, it could be the timer, but if I remember correctly, you said nudging the timer doesn't make the burner come back on.

Let me know what you find. I'm curious to help you fix this.

My Kenmore Elite Oasis dryer has a CF code and continuously beeps. Running or not.

The CF error is a communication failure between the main computer and the touch may have a bad or weak connection or a bad computer..I wold recommend that you contact your local Sears and ask them about recalls, and for service should this happen again.

Kenmore Elite Oasis 6806 Electric dryer with burning smell

you must disassemble the unit and clean the lint out of the heating unit area, it is lint catching fire and could be dangerous to continue using your unit in this condition. a vacuum cleaner should do well to clean the lint and the drum must be removed to do a proper cleaning

Hi I have a kenmore elite oasis dryer. And all of a sudden it only will run for about a minute and then it shuts off. I tried turning it back on again and it does the same thing. Then after the third time...

The first suggestion I have for you is to simply run an Air Fluff cycle with no heat.

If the Air Fluff cycle runs okay then the problem is most likely with the thermistor.

You can try to run the dryer with the vent hose off and see if there is a difference.

Takes too long to dry or keeps running when clothes are dry

If your dryer seems to run forever, it could be because of a clogged vent or internal ductwork. Your dryer may have an automatic cycle that turns off the dryer when the clothes are dry. It does this with a special thermostat or moisture-sensing system.

Normally, this is what happens during an automatic cycle:

  • The thermostat tells the dryer to heat until the interior of the dryer reaches a pre-set temperature--say 135 degrees.

  • When the dryer reaches the pre-set temperature, the thermostat tells the timer to begin advancing. (If there's a moisture sensor, the timer advances only if the moisture content of the clothing is low enough.)

  • The timer advances until the interior cools, then the thermostat tells the timer to stop advancing, and tells the dryer to start heating again.

This cycle continues until the clothes are dry. But…if the vent is clogged, the dryer may never reach the proper operating temperature, so it doesn't send the signal to the timer and the dryer continues to run indefinitely, even if the clothes are completely dry. To fix the problem, clean the vent and/or internal ductwork.

Oasis drinkingfountain - Why would fan run continually? Cools wel

The fan and compressor run at the same time.
Both get power from the on/off cold control termostat.
1.Defective thermostat.
2.Compressor not cooling.

If the water is chilling go to #1.

Drum runs continuously

Sounds like you have a shorted relay in the door switch. If you know a good electrician or repair man I'd give them a call.

It wont heat and runs continously

You need an element. When the element breaks and you are using auto dry, right before it gets to off the element becomes a conductor in cool down and no voltage is supplied to the timer motor and will continue to run.
