Set the print quality to normal or best. Clean the printhead Run a calibration. The Kodak EasyShare AiO performs a calibration every time you install or replace a printhead. HP Photosmart C7280 printer gets into a paper blockage mode that appears to be from its own mechanical parts - leaving 1.2cm wide indentations on the leading edge of the paper on its top left side starting at about 2 cm and sometimes also 7 cm from the corner. Happens in copy and print modes. Is there a fix for this problem?
I had a similar problem, the scanner bar was stuck to the far left side. Here's how I fixed it:
1)Unplug the printer, disconnect any cables/phone lines to it.
2)Lift up the entire scanner bed housing(you will see the printer ink cartridges).
3)Locate the access patch (approx 1 cm x 1 cm square) along the left edge of the scanner bed housing(this is the side that closes in, next to the keypad buttons).
4)Using a small knife blade, peel off the patch from the corners and edges(it's sticky. Save it, you can stick it back over the hole when you're done).
5)Stick a pen through the access hole, and push the scanner bar to the right, approximately 2-3 inches.
6)Now, close the scanner housing, plug in the printer, and power it on.
It should reset and re-calibrate the scanner bar. If it doesn't, repeat steps 5) and 6) a couple times, until the printer correctly performs calibration. Then, you can put the sticky patch back over the hole, and you're ready to go. Hope this helps!
Check status monitor see if cartridges are low or nearly empty , if new or full take out all cartridges and soak nozzles upright in cleaning solution overnight , or untill ink starts to bleed out:
Dab dry and re - fit , make up a A4 paper page with 6 colour bands about 1" high x 8" wide and print about 4 to 6 pages ,
check which colours are poor , if improvement is observed run
again a few times:
If one colour is poor take out that cartridge and soak again for a few hours , try again:
If no improvement replace with new cartridge or use a cleaning cartridge ( available on-line ) :
Using the head-cleaning utility shortens the life of the printer as the printer is set to lock-out after a pre-set use of the cleaning facility: and will have to be re-set instore:
