Hi,
Since you have two identical wireless adapters from linksys. Swap them around to check if the adapter is failing or the settings are incorrect . I personally think its the adpater .
Additional you can delete the wirless profile , from the computer 2 and create a fresh connection.

Click on the Start button >>> Control Panel >>> Network Connections-
Here right click on the "Wireless Network Connection" icon and select
Properties- Click on the 'Wireless Network' tab- Click on the 'Remove or delete "'
==============================

To make a new connection
Click on the Start button >>> Control Panel >>> Network Connections-
Here right click on the "Wireless Network Connection" icon and select
Properties- Click on the 'Wireless Network' tab- Click on the 'Add'
button below- Provide the network name in the SSID box exactly as set
on the router/gateway(as it is case sensitive)- Data encryption (WEP/WPA enabled) should be checked- Uncheck the box that says, "The key is
provided for me automatically"- Type the network key in the Network
key box as set on the router/gateway and then confirm it again and
click Ok.Check if that works...

Thanks

Well if I had two of those I would first make sure that the metal on the ends that go into the computer to work and are not damaged. After that I would make sure it's installed properly and whatever system you're using recognizes is completely. If nothing after that, then I would just take it to a local computer store and see if they can see what's wrong with it.

"NO association with access point". and "Adapter is inactive"' means that iether the adapter is not inserted properly, or the drivers are not properly installed.

Try first turning off laptop.
Remove battery and unplug adapter from laptop.
Remove card.
RE-plug and restart laptop with no card.
Check is card is in device manager list, if it is there, remove it and restart again.
Reinstall card software.
Insert card if asked by software, or restart laptop.

If you do not have software disk download from Linksys.

If that does not work, the network adapter may be defective, or Windows has a problem with the driver.

Try resetting the card (remove from comp. and reinsert) and if that doesn't help, remove the card via Device Manager and reinstall the drivers.
let me know for further assistance.
Thanks

First of all, are you trying to connect to a secured wireless network (router)?

If one is working, have you booted that system down, and swapped the adapters, then booted that system back up, and did it work?

We need to work through this systematically, and I can help you do that.

This is something to try:

Download drivers for your wireless device from this website. Afterward uninstall your wireless adapter. Then re-install it using the drivers you just downloaded. That should repair the issue(s), if not let me know and we'll take a look at other possibilities.

What's wrong with my ez connect?

If you mean the connection manager application that came with the ezconnect adapter opens and then shuts down immediately, that's usually what happens when it doesn't see the adapter. Application says "no adapter present" and closes. You say you're trying to use the ezconnect software with a linksys card, so that's probably the cause. Try downloading the linksys driver software from their site

Good Signal,Good Mbps, Slow Internet Connection?

1. Try to use a different wireless adapter on all available USB ports, if the problem remains then
2. turn off your PC unplug the power cord from the power socket, short the two legs of the power cable then leave it for 5min, then plug it into the power socket again and turn on the PC.

if this didnt work then you have a hardware problem with the USB ports.

let me know how it works out.

Can not connect

It is possible that your windows update messed up the Linksys drivers. If your pc is xp, download the latest drivers from www.linksys.com/download. uninstall the wpc54g on the add/remove programs.

if using XP, reinstall drivers only, no need to install the linksys software. This would be best if you install the drivers manually. After this you will be using only the WINDOWS UTILITY for your wireless connection.
