Hmm, it souds like some of the power cables are poorly fitted.
I suggest you to open the pc and unplug the power cables one by one and the plug them in again, you can even unplug and replug all the cables in your pc.
DONT forget to unplug the powercable to the PSU fist! And dont connect that one until you finnish all the your other work.

Good luck to you

This is an issue with the power management and sleep setting of your machine. Basically when you press the power button and the machine is in sleep mode the machine will resume and then shutdown. Then if you press the power button again it won't work until you hard reset the machine by pressing and holding the power button for at least 10 seconds.

Follow this link for info on setting an s3 sleep state in xp.
Also check your settings by going over the information on this page.

For Vista the S3 sleep state is on by default and you might want to change this. To do this follow these instructions.

Never boot when start up

That's because you have a Power Supply with a weak voltage power rail

How do I know this?

1) IF all of the LED lights were on at once, they would use less than 1 WATT of power.

2) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.

3) A typical Processor can use 51 to 125 Watts of power. Just depends on what processor it is.

Your motherboard?

With the LGA 1155 processor socket, and the Intel H61 Express chipset, it can support Intel Core i5, and Core i7 processors.

What is happening?
Primer;
You press the Power On button. This plastic button in turn, presses against the Power On switch. A Momentary Contact Switch.

The brief closing of the Power On switch, closes the Soft Power On circuit, in the Power Supply.
The Power Supply turns on.

The first chipset to receive power is the BIOS chipset. The BIOS program starts.

BIOS looks to see what devices are connected, does a Ram Memory count, TURNS the Processor on, and hands the computer over to the Operating System.
(Windows XP, and Windows 7, are two examples of an O/S)

When BIOS goes to turn the Processor on, the Power Supply 'falls flat on it's face'.

Has to enough power to light a few little LED lights, and maybe spin a fan, or two, but NOT enough power for the Processor.

The monitor is stating No Signal, because there is no video signal coming from the computer. This is because the computer is not working, because of that bad Power Supply.

I have a intel desktop board d102ggc2 motherboard,p4 3.00 2mb 800ghz processor,160gb samsung ide hdd,512mb kingston ram and 350w power supply.the problem is that the computer shout downs automaticly.it...

Automatic shutdowns are generally caused by three things:

1. A ground fault on the MB, which can be almost impossible to track down.

2. A faulty powersupply, which I would buy a power supply tester just to make sure.

3. A heat related error, check all your fans and heatsinks to make sure everything is clean and in order.

250gb sata hard disk to 845 glad mother board

Hello all. I have the same issue. My MB is 845G [P4 2.4 Ghz] and SATA harddisk I need to install is Seagate 250 GB Baracuda with 3.0Gb/s interface, I belive which makes this HD as SATA II. So for this motherboard should I prefer PCI cards which support SATA II over the supports SATA I [these are cheaper].

Thanks so mcuh!!!
