2 things you neeed to check first of all clean teh coils underneath the refrig. then pull unit from wall and pull off rear compartment cover and see if the fan that cools compressor is running. it is possible the motor is jammed or bad. if the motor is bad you can put a house fan blowing into the comp compartment until you get it repaired.

I have an LG American fridge freezer GRB207TUJA which the edge where the doors close on is very very hot

This is normal unless the refrigerator is not cooling properly. There is a pipe that goes around the door that carries hot Freon to keep the doors from sweating where the cold inside meets the warm air outside. This area will become extremely hot should the airflow below the refrigerator become obstructed or the condenser fan below the refrigerator not be working properly

Where the two doors meet it is hot why?

Pull the refrig out and remove the rear panel . Check the fan there to see if it is working and the blade is not obstructed . If not working , and the blade is not obstructed , replace the fan motor . Also make sure the coils in front behind the kick plate are clean of dust , lint , etc . The cooling fan not working will cause the center door strip to get very hot .

Center support of Side By Side is Hot to the touch

Hi, welcome to Fixya. The heat between the doors is normal and done by design to help prevent moisture along the "breaker strip"/divider. If all else appears fine, temp. Ok, fans running, no significant frost build up on freezer back wall, it's likely nothing to be concerned about. Just be sure the condensor fan isn't jammed and still turning. If not turning it can cause the unit to become extremely hot. The amount of heat can and is determined by several factor's such as, temperature setting - lower/colder the temperature is set the more the run time the hotter the strip. The ambient temperature - hotter the environment the more the unit runs the hotter the strip. The amount of "fresh" content added to the unit - new items add a lot of warmth thus demanding the unit to run more to remove this heat causing the strip to be hotter. Build up of dust & dirt on the condensor coils ( they should be vacuumed annually ) - this also causes the unit to run excessively which in turn makes for more heat on this strip. These are all things which can and do determine the amount of heat between the doors. If it is hot where you live the unit may just be running more to compensate as with other factors I mentioned. Hope this answer's your question and let me know if I can assist you further. Thank's for coming to "fixya" and good luck moving forward. Please take a second to rate the info provided here. Macmarkus :)

Sides of the refrigerator get extremely hot

The coils below fridge need cleaning very badly ( if G E then behind fridge) or the fan behind refrig which cools the compressor , is not working . Model number would have been helpful .

Center front partition is very hot!

Either your coils are dirty ( clean from the front after removing the kickplate , only what you can get to ) or , the condensor fan motor is bad ( motor which cools the compressor ) .

Ge side by side freezer refrigerator

That is called a heat strip. Used to keep moisture down around the door gaskets. You will need to roll unit out, take lower back plate off and check to see that the condinser fan is turning when compressor is on. If not, replace fan motor
