Question about Canon PIXMA MP600 all-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I can't get the scan to scan dark enough to read.

My son showed me once. It had to do with the settings button, but I don't remember how to do it.

Still now it doesnt work print out more or less white dark

I jut solved the problem on a same code error, I have a Cannon MG2120. I simply held the "reset" button and the machine reset. You may have had an initial printer test on set up. The ink shouldn't matter as its a combo scanner/printer/copy. You should be able to use the scanner. Remember to hit the "scan" button only or you may queue a new printing project.

So, solution is:

1. Press and Hold: "Stop/Reset" Button
2. Press once: "SCAN" button

On the printer operator panel, press Black to begin a black and white scan or Color to begin a color scan. You can rename the file only on your computer once the scanned file is displayed.

Gestetner DSm618d accidentally adjusted display too dark, now can't read it, so I can't control the machine, nor can I readjust ''contrast'' Vince

No matter how dark the contrast, if the room is dark you will be able to read it well enough to get to the settings -that is unless the display is burned out altogether

Zebra Z4MPlus not printing dark enough

In your label software there should be a setting option for print darkness (I assume it adjusts the head temperature) In ours (bartender) you can get to it when you select 'print' and a window appears with a 'documents properties' button. Click on this and select options and a darkness bar appears which you can adjust. You may also need to slow the label print speed if the darkness adjustment is not enough. I suspect it isn't in the printers best interest to run the print head at maximum darkness/heat so a sensible balance of darkness and print speed is best.
Another, less likely, possibility is an incompatability between the label material or surface finish, and the ribbon type. We did have a problem once whem Homebase changed their price label design and we had to test a load of other ribbon types until we got one that did the job. A chat with the label or ribbon supplier is always usefull, they sent us several sample bits to test.

Scanner says sorry an unknown error occured The scanner seems to reconize it is connected to the computer, but it will not complete the scan

You don´t give enough information in order to allow us to help you (How are you trying to scan? What exactly happens? What OS is installed in your computer? Which software/driver did you install? Does your printer otherwise works?)

Start by reading these HP FAQs to see if you can solve the problem (2 are meant for Vista systems and one for XP). Post again if you still can't scan.

Scanned docs are too light

Hi.

On some printers there is a "save" mode with the purpose of saving
ink or toner that if "on" will result in light printing.

Also see to that the scanner is scanning it with the right light/dark setting so that you know the picture has correct darkness and contrast to start with.

Hope this will help you.

Have a great day..
