Question about Panasonic DVD BurnerII MULTI Drive SW-9571-CYY DVD-RAM/DVD-RW Burner

Panasonic SW-9571-CYY Ejects DVD RAM Cartridge.

When a DVD RAM cartridge is inserted the draw closes and after a brief pause the draw opens again to eject the cartridge. The drive works fine with non cartridge mounted DVD RAM discs.

Hi, I don't know if you ever solved this problem - but I had the same thing on my SW9571CYY. The solution is to replace the small drive belt inside the drive ( It is very thin and doesn't seem up to the job it has to do). Just remove the two screws on the rear, then the seven screws holding the plastic cover with the springs on it (don't worry - everything stays in place). Lift the disk tray out and the little belt is towards the front. I used an old belt from a broken LG GSA-5163D that was lying around. I think it would be difficult to find the correct spare so some people have even used a "O" ring with a slightly smaller diameter than the original belt.
Hope this helps Dwane4444

Hi dierch,
the {XX} in the "Part# represents the (4) different speeds, that the DVD-RAM / DVD-RW can perform in!"
ie: [12x32x24x16x] MultiDrive: Read / Write Speeds
