I try to set a 6408d+ phone set to auto answer phone but i can't.
I've configured in the second page of the station "auto-answer=all or acd" , but when i call the station i receive a busy tone.
I have the same result when i put the parameter (in the thirld page of the station) int-auto-ans.
Do you have any idea?

It's not called page, it's INTERCOM. On the face of most Panasonic phones, there's a button labeled AUTO ANS. When you press it, it lights up. If the options are set properly, it becomes the Voice Announce/Auto Answer button. Every phone you want to have the VA feature on has to have that button lit. When you call them on the intercom, it will beep twice and your voice will be on the set and they may or may not be able to answer back handsfree.
It requires system programming and theere's a code you can dial to block it.
Uh oh. Here we go. The first command is PROGRAM 21x, where x is 0 for Ring but the button controls, 1 for Voice, and 2 for Ring Only. It's programmed by PROG 21 STORE use the auto answer button to step between settings, then STORE again. The next one is 23. It can force Auto Answer and is normally set to OFF by default.
There are also soft keys and the Navigator button ENTER that make this easier. I have a 7735 phone on a TAW which has a similar instruction set so I don't have the soft keys you have. I guess one of them is SEL for select to replace the Auto ANS button in the above instructions.
Auto Attendant Answer Lines 1 – Feature 983 2 – Log: Dial 1020000 (3-digit DNs) or 120000 (2-digit DNs) 3 – Press AA 4 – Press LINES 5 – Line number: Dial line number (001-xxx). 6 – Line:xxx Ans:No Press CHNG to AA if auto attendant will always answer theline. If a Night Service key will be used to activate auto attendant answering, leave Ans: at No. 7 – If line has been changed to Ans:AA, press * then press TABLE. 8 – If Table:1 is OK press RINGS. (Table 1 is the default greeting table. Change to a different table (1-4) if alternate answering is required on the line being programmed.) 9 – Rings:0 – Press CHNG, dial number of rings before auto attendant answers the line, or leave at 0 for immediate answering. Allow at least 2 rings if CLID is in use. 10 – Repeat for each line to be programmed. Notes For Night Service Mode Auto Attendant Answering If the auto attendant will only answer lines in night service mode, line answering should be set to No as per step 6 above. Using night service will cause the AA to answer lines immediately.
If you are an administrator, you can make the change in the second page of the station "auto-answer=none". Otherwise, if you are user and there in in your menu list the feature int-auto-ans, you can press the specific button.
I hope to help you.
My TAW-848 has FOUR manuals. Which one are you looking in?
The auto answer is either controlled from the AUTO ANS button on the phone, or programmed in the system. Since each system is different, you need to look at the Operating/User manual for personal features for your phone. In the TA, it's PROGRAM 41 for TONE call and then the AUTO ANS button will work. IIRC (bench system is in the van at the moment) if you use 42 for VOICE call, the AUTO ANS button won't work at all. It's similar in TAW and TDA systems.
You have to change the rings from the voice mail server. If you don't know your way around the server, its best to get a local NEC tech although it is fairly simple to navigate. Depends on your skill. Typical default password for the server is NEC
[Mute /Auto Answer] is a dual function button.
Mute flashes when it is on and Auto Answer lit solid. Both of these features toggle on and toggle off. Auto Answer will turn on and off during the on-hook condition. Mute is employed during call.
If these lights are not associated with the Mic working, you may have a bad set.
You can adjust the Answer Delay time by going to Menu then DTAD. Adjust the Answer Delay under this menu... 6 seconds per one ring.
If you have auto attendant set up to answer for you in a multiline system, set that delay accordingly. That will be the first system to pick up, You should set up one auto attendant for every voice line coming into your phones.
