Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Digital Camera
Sony Cybershot DSC-W50 I was using the camera just fine today and then all of a sudden, the screen appears to be bright with a partial image and gray box. It turns on and off. Camera seems to zoom in and out and connected to computer and it is taking pictures, but cannot view from the back. Anyway to reset the screen (reboot the camera through my computer? Jay
I had this happen with my camera. on the press the display button. for some reason they have a setting that makes the screen black. i thought i had broken mine too. but that fixed it

This a possibly a connector problem to the screen If it is still taking pictures OK then you have to decide whether to live with it or get the next camera. I suspect a repair will not be very economic. Contact Sony support for further advice.
