Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
My printer is about a year old and has been working very well since I bought it. Suddenly it started printing with thick black solid lines horizontally across the page at 3 inch increments. I read your description and you suggest this may be a dirty or damaged roller. What do I do about it?
On the the left of the paper being printed appears dark patches of ink that makes tha print-out look unpresentable. please assist
Service is required (or a new laser you can now by at very low price)

Sounds like you have a problem with a damaged roller (see here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/fastFaqLiteDocument?docname=c00653645&lc=en&cc=gb#N1474 )
You will need to buy a new print cartridge
