The service manual and thermostat cross reference says,

  1. Filter life management (just reminding you to check or change the filter.)
  2. Filter lamp(only on model with electrostatic and inferred filtering)
  3. Flood level sensor (Only displays if the drain is clogged)
If the drain is clean and you don't have inferred filtering,It's just a filter reminder.

(This above is depending on the type of thermostat you have)

Please rate this a fixya

I have this same problem but I think it is a flood warning. The bottom of the unit has water there and there doesn't seem to be much coming out of the drain. I will drain it and see what happens and tell you guys

FL message means that the Filter need to be cleaned. Clean the filter as per manufacturer's instruction. After cleaning the filter and reinstalling it, you need to reset the AC. While AC is ON, press the MODE and Arrow button simultaneously for 5 to 10 sec until "FL" message disappear and room temp is indicated. Then, turn-off the AC unit. Turn-on after 3mins and the "FL" mesage is gone.

Please make sure that your ac unit is fully drained. If it is drained and the filters have been changed you should look about getting the unit serviced. Check out Air Condition West Palm Beach to help answer any other A/C questions you may have.

I have a maytag netune front loader washer- 10 years old. It is giving me an message FL when I go to start it. I can turn it off and try again and it will work fine. Am I headed for bigger problem?

The "FL" is indicating that the door has failed to lock or it locked but the control does not sense the door has locked.

It could be caused by:

  • faulty door lock solenoid
  • loose wire connection
  • faulty door lock switch
  • faulty door lock sense switch
  • bad control board

Here is a link to the manual for your machine also.

My machine is flashing with the code FL, what does tha mean and how can I fix it?

The "FL" error code is indicating an overfill condition which is most likely due to the unit not draining properly or the pressure switch did not reset after the water was pumped out.

In the middle of washing a load of clothes the letters fl showed up and the washer started beeping what do i do about this and what does fl mean

FL - Overfill Condition
This error message occurs only if the machine control board
sees an open circuit at P17. If this is the case:
■ Press Stop/Cancel to clear the display.
■ With the power disconnected, check the upper harness
connection to P17 on the machine control. Look for any
contaminants on the contacts. There should be a closed
circuit in the harness between P17 contacts 1 and 3.
■ Replace the upper harness or machine control as necessary.

Wii Remote A/ B problem

I know this sounds silly, but be sure that you have fresh batteries in each Wiimote and that you have them in the right way.

Whenever you start up your Wii, the first Wiimote that you press a button on becomes controller number 1 and then subsequent Wiimotes are added in the order a button is pushed on them. SO, if you are thinking that you have remote 1 because that was the one that was remote 1 last night, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is so. Be sure that whenever you activate a Wiimote, the lights flash - 4 lights flashing mean strong battery, 1 light flashing means replace; when flashing stops, the number LED that is lit from the left denotes which remote you have. Make sure that is the same Wiimote that you select a game with, and make sure that is the one you press A&B together with to start the game.

If it doesn't work, shut everything down and start up using the other Wiimote. If that DOES work, then it could mean that your other Wiimote is not syncronized with the console. See the directions in your Wii manual on syncronizing additional Wiimotes (they're called Wii Remote by Nintendo) to your console.

Good luck. If all the above fails, you may want to go to www.nintendo.com and request customer service.

On the top screen where it says the amount of shots left for a sequence, it says FL

FL means that the full amount of space on the card is available...it doesn't give you an amount like say the d70 which says you have , say, 1.1K available of space...the d21x goes in reverse and starts counting how many pics you have taken...the FL becomes a number at 99 and goes down from there depending on how many pics you take.So you then end up with a number on top instead of FL and a number below indicating how many pics you have taken.

Hope this helps.

Msgs light on Motorola DCT3412

The red message light means that your cable tv provider has left you a message. (Next to the red message light you'll see a faint yellow digit indicating the number of waiting messages.)

To read your messages, do the following:

(1) On your remote, press the "Menu/Settings" button once. This brings up the "Quick Menu."

(2) Press the "Menu/Settings" button again. This brings up the "Prevue Menu."

(3) In the "Prevue Menu," scroll down and select "Messages."

(4) Read the waiting message by pressing the "OK/Select" button on your remote.

(5) To exit the Prevue Menu, press the "Menu/Settings" button.
