This is a projector, right? It generally helps if you say. For a moment I thought we were talking about a Computer.
Clean the filters, put it somewhere it won't get too dusty or warm. General Maintenance and Good Sense.

Would you care to explain how this is inappropriate? Is it not a projector?

Check air flow

Unclip the air filter covers and remove the filters, making sure not to let the dust stray into the machine.
Clean the filters. Depending on the type of filter, either wash them in mild washing up detergent or replace them if they are the paper element type.
That is all one can do without stripping the machine down and clean the vanes on the fans.

There is blue shadows in the picture, my hitachi cp-rs55 just got a new lamp, but the problem is still there???? How do i solve this problem??

Hi

The problem could be caused by the connection or configuration of your video equipment. Check the following:

  • Make sure your component-to-VGA video cable is properly connected.

  • Select Component Video as the Computer Input setting in the Signal menu.

  • Make sure the connected video equipment is set up to output video to component video.
Hope this helps

Problem with hitachi cp-RS55 multimedia projector sir

There is a menu item which has both the lamp hour reset and check air flow, etc. You must go into the menu and reset the air flow item. MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE DUST FILTER!! Heat is the number one killer of projectors and Hitachi's run "hot". I clean my projector once a week--Hey, I'm not rich. lol! Also, excessive heat will cause the lcd panels to fail prematurely and cause lots of other components to do the same.--Rick

My projector displays a message called ''check the air flow''. what can i do to remove that message?

Check Air Flow means that the heat sensor is activated. This message means that the air around the projector is not circulating well... causing the heat. Check that the projector has at least 2 ft free air around it. Also, make sure that the filter is cleaned.

Hope this helps!

Hitachi cp-rs55 not working,tic.tic.... noise coming from project

make sure you reset the lamp timer. Manual has the steps. Hitachi Performa CP RS55 3 LCD Projector

if the timer is reset, try cleaning the color wheel. Optoma HD20 Projector Cleaning this video is for an optoma but the color wheel is cleaned the same way in most DLP projectors. Dirty or dusty color wheel sensors cause the projector to shut down and act like its the lamp.
