Reyhard_23,
Click on the Asus link below. When the site opends there is a search windows in the right hand corner; http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
Type in P4S333-M & click the white arrow. In the next window that opends click on, "P4S333-M related files for download". Another windows will open & here you'll need to choose your operating system from the drop-down menu. Click the plus sign to the left of "Audio". Create a folder on your desktop & name it Audio. Download the audio driver into that folder.
This Asus board does not use the SiS 7012 chipset. From the link above you will ba able to download the manual. On page 1-6 you'll find the P4S333-M MB uses the SiS 961 controller for audio.
If you want the CD that came with the Asus MB you can pick up a copy at Asus E-store. http://estore.asus.com/shop/.

Good luck reyhard_23!

Sir sound drive not active

Find the device in the device manager, delete it and reboot your computer. Device manager can be found by right clicking My Computer, select properties, select hardware, find device manager.

I hope this solves your trouble.

Thanks for visiting today.

Sir my system problem is sound drive not installed..

Hello!

To be able to use the sound device, first you have to install the sound/audio driver, the driver can be found on your motherboard cd and if you don't have the cd you can download it from the internet.

Hope I was able to help.

I have an intel p4 motherboard when i format it with a new XP pro.there's no sound. it's say's no audio device. what is the best driver for my PC? tnx!

well to start, it possibly might not be the driver you need, normally if it is it will say found new hardware yarda yarda, and then the normal is can't install driver yarda yarda, this sounds more like you have the audio disabled in the bios, you will have to check this first, and then see if windows picks it up..go to control panel and and system then hardware then device manager, have you got a yellow triangle next to sound, video and game controllers, if you have you will need the drivers, if you have nothing at all this is either soundcard disabled or worse senario sound board u/s....hope this helped

Audio hardware

Check in your device manager
For XP, Start/Control panel/Performance Maintance/System/Hardware/Device Manager, go to CD/DVD, click on the + sign for the CD/DVD in question, right mouse the CD/DVD and go to properties, then check to see if this is working properly and also is this device enabled. If all of this is good, try updating the driver for this hardware.
If there is a problem with any of the hardware in device manager there will be flag by the hardware item. It could be that the driver is bad or missing or a variety of things.
If your using Vista go to Start/Control panel/device manager
If you cant find any problems in device manager and cant update the driver then the unit might be bad.
You can check all system drivers by downloading driver detective,
this can be found at http://www.drivershq.com/
Let me know if this helps.
Good luck

Audio problem

You need to install the correct driver for the sound device, because with win XP it can install a generic driver but it wont be working properly so if its a built sound on your MOBO you need to install driver for it from the MOBO setup CD.
