I upgraded the firmware on my DI-524 and now there is no signal and I can't connect to the unit. My computer says 'host is down". All the IP setting on my laptop are fine and the unit worked before the firmware upgrade. The reset button doesn't do anything... I've tried to power it up with the reset in blah blah. Any clues how to get the unit alive agin?

Reset the DI-524 to its factory default settings and restore the other devices on your network to their default settings. You may do this by pressing the Reset button on the back of the unit. You will lose the current configuration settings. Also be sure to unplug the modem the plug it back in afterwards, a reboot of all devices on network maybe good idea also.

Actually am using an ISP- BSNL and when Itry to connect to the ip address: 192.168.0.1, it's not getting connected and hence cannot make any chinages to the router settings, eventually can't connect to the internet. Can anyone suggest a solution for this problem?

Link to router information, you need to select your model revision, then you will be able to download your installation guide, firmware updates, etc

Network adaptor failed on my Dell laptop. Purchased a netgear N150 wireless USB adaptor. It asks me to push the WPS button on my router (probably a software button. How do I get there? and what do i do?

I believe that if you have a NetGear router, some of these have an 'automatic configuration' button, that will talk to NetGear wireless adapters and configure everything for you.

If you don't have a NetGear router you should be able to manually configure the wireless network if you have the details of the wireless key, etc.

Hope that this is of some help to you

Wireless cant be detected

Re-config the router's WLAN, or rebuild, or reset your router, the username or password are admin and the IP usually 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.1.1

Missing CD

Yes. Go to the DLink Site: http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=316 for your product. Click on the Support Resources tab, your country and then the specific revision of your router. The next page will come up with the manual, setup guide and Quick Router Setup download.

I hope this helps.
