How many programs are starting up when you boot the computer.
Is there something doing a scan like AVG. That can really slow things down

A lot of the time.. well more like 99% of the time, if a virus has infected your computer, your installed virus protection program will no be able to detect it. So what to do?

-Disable your "system restore" first. 95% of viruses live in your system restore. If a you don't, than the next part will be a waste of time.

-Go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ . Run the scan....

good luck!

Maybe you need more ram, your system supports:

Supports Dual DDR2 533/667/800
2 DDR2 DIMMs (240pin / 1.8V)
Supports a maximum memory size up to 2GB.

Try also to upgrade the graphic driver.

virtual dj takes a lot of power, from the pc:

Depending the size of the cpu.

I think you have to buy a pc, a little faster than you have now.

Good luck

yep right were I was going to head. The post will pick up failed memory, but not all bad memory is failed. You might toss those in another machine and run a memory test on the to see what it comes up with, even though we know they are bad.

Sound like your computer is infected by virus that slows down your computer speed, as you already have 1GB RAM. I would recommend you to do these:

  • Install and run a deep scan of any good Anti-Virus (Norton, Avast get any you like).
  • Format your computer C:\ Drive and reinstall windows in your computer then.
  • If you have Windows 7 or VISTA installed in your computer then i would recommend you to change it to Windows XP SP2.
Thank you! Hope that will solve your problem!

It's really hard to say what might be the problem here. It could be a hardware failure, a software problem, your CPU overheating, a 1001 things.
Best thing to do in this situation, though, is opening your log and checking for any critical errors. If there are any, please post them, and I may be able to diagnose the problem.
If there are a lot of critical errors, I would recommend you to reinstall Windows. I am 99% sure that will solve the problem. If you need any help with that, let me know.

I hope this answers your question,
Yannick.
