Hey man how are you doing i used to work for sprint as a tech you need to take it to your nearest sprint service center. Once your there tell the repair tech that you need a flex cable replaced.
A flex cable is a cable that runs from the main board to the lcd screen and the problem with the rumors flex cable is they were getting scratched when you slide the phone open and closed.
All that being said its free to you to have it replaced as it what sprint calls a known issue so even with no phone insurance it a free repair and takes about 15 minutes if there not busy. I posted a picture of the part below.
could you please rate me 4 thumbs up if it helps you thanks
The problem is either in the the flex ribbon connector, connector
terminals or LCD itself. Disassemble the unit then check the flex ribbon connector
for any crack or damage. If no apparent damage is found, clean both the
flex terminals and the connector terminals. Resoldering the connector
terminals is also suggested. If no result, LCD is damaged, replace it.
Hello meashaw... Looks like your phone's flex is damaged. You bring it to LG's authorized service center and they will fix/replace its flex for free if it's still covered by a warranty. That's what I did for my slide phone also (other brand).
if you could see any image from the broken lcd before changing it so your new lcd is not working or no installed right
and if not you may try the cable or the hard shock that broke your lcd effected the main board
