Do they connect? I had an original iphone and could not get it to ever connect with my prius hands free. the first iphone was 'jail broken' to work on the t-mobile network. I am contemplating getting a new iphone 3g and am wondering if things have changed. My t-mobile dash connects no problem.

Re: iphone 3g and 2007 toyota prius hands free
Both my 3GS and iPhone 4 connect to my aftermarket bluetooth headset in my car. The phones can then play music wirelessly into my stereo or be used for hands free calls.
Hope this helps,

You can't get a free unlock code for iPhone 3G. Most of the times free codes are wrong and if you enter over a certain number of wrong codes. Your iPhone may become hard locked and unusable. Instead you can try with any affordable paid site. For example you can try with www.Wickedunlock.com . Here you can unlock your iPhone through the most safest method called Remote unlocking method. This is also the most affordable method to get your mobile unlocked. Unlocking process is very very simple. Here are the steps for unlocking an iPhone 3G,1. Wait for us to send you an email saying your phone has been activated or remotely unlocked. 2. Install the latest version of iTunes. 3. Using iTunes, connect the iPhone to the original computer it synced with. Once it is connected to iTunes, it should unlock. You should now be able to change the code.
If you do not have access to the original computer it synced with, you can connect it to iTunes on a different computer and click "Restore". This will unlock the iPhone. This will also delete all data, though.
You can't send and receive files with the iPhone's bluetooth. Version 3 of their firmware will supposedly provide this functionality, but only on the iPhone 3G. (2G models don't have the necessary hardware)
As for the hands-free car setup, that should work just fine. It's a matter of pairing the two devices together.
Well the folks at ATT were useless. The person at the technology counter said she did not know about technology. She asked the other counter person who said just go to the Toyota dealer.
I call Apple and talked with Bryce. He said this was a very big problem effecting owners of BMW, Toyota, Infiniti. Apple is working on it he said.
He mentioned that when the G3 iphone came out it did not do this. Now it is massive.
Funny thing is, my phone did not do this originally. Now, 25 days into ownership it is Bluetooth worthless.
At least now we won't waiste time at ATT or the car dealer or reprogramming bluetooth connection.
