Question about Car Equalizers & Crossovers

Stop and go playing

I have an Infinity Gold stereo system in my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee. When I turn it on the cd player works but not the radio. The cd player plays then shuts off for about 15 seconds then plays for two minutes and shuts off again. This pattern continues the whole time. Is there a specific reason for both these problems. Thank you

Sounds like a loose connection in the wiring... or one of the connectors is loose

My cd player will not work but radio works fine

in the unit cd player and radio are two different things.so just check out with another cd first to confirm the fault.also if it shows "no cd error code" that means either the cd is faulty or the internal cd lens is faulty so its not reading the cd.but if its showing no such error and display is blank then, first try cleaning the cd tray with tissue paper and check if still the same problem its internal circuit error that needs to be checked with multimeter and repaired.mostly the repairing cost of circuit is minimum.

Back rear speaker wont play when singled out. more details inside

I would suggest you mdisconnect the rear speakers from the amp, take a 9volt battery and click te speakers on at a time. If proble duplicated, the you have the left speaker tied to the right somewhere.

INFO:EQ

Sens is ussually a term for the more common "remote
" wire. You will need to look at diagram to be sure but Im about 99% positive that in your case the sens wire is the input wire for a switched ingnition, especially since you say it is located next to theGND and BATT wires. You will need to connect the SENS wire to 12v hot, similar to the BATT wire but this wire will need to be switchable, meaning it can be turned off and on, say when you turn your key on and off, or when you turn your radio on and off. For example, the remote wire output from the back of an aftermarket cd player, ussually blue with a white stripe or just blue, or the ignition wire of your aftermarket radio, ussually red, or the ignition wire of your factory radio, or any 12v switched fuse in your fuse box. They will all work. In a worse case senario, if you have trouble locating a true ignition wire, there is a short cut. If the EQ has an actual power button that you can turn on and off, you can make this short cut by wiring the SENS wire to the 12v hot BATT wire. Then you can manually turn the eq on and off with the power button. Just remember if you wire it up this way, and forget to turn it off when the vehicle is not running, after about 24 hours or so, the battery may be drained somewhat, and you'll have trouble starting your vehicle. This is definately your last option.

The BATT wire needs to go to the hot in the BATT or the memory ( yellow) from the aftermarket CD player. The GND needs to be connected to anything metal in the car that is connected to GROUND, for example the frame work of the dash board that is metal, or the ground wire from your aftermarket radio ( black).

The rca input will be the RCA;s coming from your cd player.

the rca output will go to your amplifier.

Placement is completely up to you.

If it came with brakets, placing it flat against the underside of the dash board should work. But it could litterally be anywhere, and any where where it will suit your needs. Glove box works well too, so does in side the arm rest console, if you can get you wire to reach good luck.
